Resubmission doesn't look like it's going well. He sold a little too hard the low regulatory risk. Anyone who knows anything about this division of FDA knows that just isn't the case, when you have a drug and a device that needs a procedure (regardless of how simple) and what is likely perceived as low unmet need, well, It's going to be a tough road, if it ever gets approved.

 

ITCA will NEVER be approved by FDA. PAI was utter disaster (just read the 483) despite millions spent on crony consultants (all yes sir/mam and besides they only mouth off what everyone already knew and unable to actually fix) resulting in the CRL. BTL under Sunita literally made few millions profit. Regulatory and hundreds of consultants CANNOT fix the fucked up process and design (thanks Tom!). Company was pretty much written off when it was forced to admit to the Fed about the sterility and stability failures 4 months after the CRL resulting halt to all on-going trials including yanking out ITCAs from human guinea pigs. To put it mildly FDA considers Intarcia like bottom of the barrel Indian phrama companies (uh - head of Regulatory and Quality were Indians - go figure).

Heard that the talk of town and comical ridicule during ADA in shit everywhere SF month ago was WTF happened to the arrogant ahole clowns from Intarcia. And the oral GLP from Novo pretty much killed ITCA and Intarcia. Adios MFs!

Our innovation is to get the money first and worry about products later. Why go through all the bother and headache of selling a product if people will give you money to pretend you have a product. Good catch, I just saw the 483 as well, it's a bloodbath, might be manageable if these were the only issues, but it goes far deeper. There has to be some serious heat for KG, he can't stay silent forever.
