Ridiculous growth expectations and "me too" products. Bone cement is great. Need spinal cord stim to stay relevant. Race to the bottom on pricing in the pain space...

What is average comp for this division? Seen there is a opening in Green Bay

Is IVS a good place to be in Stryker? Not a lot of negativity heard about this division

Not a lot of negativity heard because it's one of the smallest divisions at Stryker. Below average market comp. Commission cuts, territory cuts - just like the rest of Stryker. Need some acquisitions to stay relevant. Divide and conquer - the Stryker way.

its really only Medtronic and Stryker competing in this arena correct?

How many reps are there in IVS?

Depends on territory. Depuy, Merit, and some knock off cheap brands all get their hands in the mix, but MDT is far and away most market share, followed by SYK.

At the rate we are hiring, there’ll be 220 of us all making 90k

Every division, that’s what’s happening at Stryker. This place used to be a destination. Now? Flood the markets with people. Just watch the movie World War Z. That’s Stryker’s model for gaining market share. And if they can do it paying our 25% less in commissions, that’s icing on the cake.

18% commission is pretty cool. Especially when you are used to 10%, doing weekly call reports, filling gas tank multiple times a week to avoid a “why haven’t you put any miles on” phone call or doing overnights to avoid “noticed you haven’t booked any hotels in awhile” phone call. There are definitely worse places to be in device..

No expenses, no car allowance, as long as you hit the number I don’t give a shit what you are doing environment is much better than above.

Hahahahaha...sure...right. People who still try to play off the rep paying all of their own business related expenses as being a good thing make me laugh. Hahahaha, good one.

Haha! Ya...being on your own island as a rep without ties to big brother is just terrible. You must be an ASR with A TON of expenses from being a gopher. Go grab me a beer.. tit baby

You are a moron. You do understand that there are literally hundreds of device jobs that give you almost (even Stryker doesn’t give you 100%) complete autonomy...and they pay expenses? And you can make great money. You do know that, right? You should know that.

There’s a great big, beautiful world out there. You just have to be brave enough to leave the house.

30% growth rates on the reps...providing solutions for an afterthought of a procedure.

Stay away. Medtronic has about 97% marketshare. Impossible to compete with them when the surgeons are used to every case being covered by MDT and we are just trying to get someone to use our product based on price. There are probably 5 Medtronic reps in any given area to 1 Stryker rep.
