The focus at AM has been the Q project for some years. The I project is running on fumes and pride now, they would be crowing about it if there was even a tiny sliver of opportunity for success. But it's so inconsequential that it's failure doesn't matter all that much to the org. If Abbott keeps the I project around, I assume it would be a skunkworks for Q.
IRIDICA system is now dead. It's expired and gone to meet its maker. It's a stiff. Bereft of life. Off the twig. Kicked the bucket. Shuffled off its tesla coil. Run down the curtain and joined the choir invisible. This is an ex-IRIDICA. Layoffs have started today in both California and Des Plaines and will continue for a couple of months as it winds down.
Just heard from a colleague at Ibis/Iridica in Carlsbad who was just hit by round of layoffs. Anyone else hearing more about this? Damn shame. Very short-sighted on behalf of Abbott.
