Yes. It's going to be great. It's going be great. It's going to be so great you won't even believe it. It's going to create jobs. Thousands, millions of jobs. It's going to be great.

Yes, and we are going to own the trauma market in a few short years. All of you unethical Synthes crooks are going to be begging us for a job.

Globus will certainly take a good sized chunk of the market, but they will come nowhere close to "owning" the market. Some of their technology coming out is pretty cool and that will take some share, and then they will take some good people from Synthes, and that will help them take some share. But owning the market ain't happenin pal.

they already started reaching out to some people at Synthes so if you think they won't take there business and there people then you are in for a surprise

It will be very hard for globus to get going in a large scale. They will have to pay out large commissions to distributors to get a sales force, and who the hell wants to work nights and weekends. The biggest strength of Synthes and Styker is that there is enough business to support reps, and that the training program is decent. Globus may have some good products (proximal humerous plate, distal femur plate sound good), but who is going to drop the set off saturday am, and cover the case saturday night? Only Synthes reps are stupid enough to keep coming back for these crappy cases over and over.....

Globass will learn an A quality trauma unit can't be built with C players and trauma surgeons and business can't be bought like happens in spine. It's not just a price driven, it's about service and knowledge. After disappointing results at the 24 month mark expect the plug to get pulled or at least the slaughter of the ineffective management team.

why cant I find anything online? nothing on their website and nothing in google searches? will it be direct or distributor based?

Because we haven't gone to launch yet. Can't post products online if there's nothing to sell. Some of our new stuff is game-changing. You will understand when you see it.

With the Spine market being flat Globus will give not give up easily in Trauma. Say what you want about Daniel "the G", but he knows where the weak spots are for Synthes Trauma in the east. Expect him to pull some RM/SC talent from Synthes in due time. Synthes will respond by foolishly hiring more quintiles reps.

Plenty of Trauma RMs are ready to leave. A couple have already resigned.

Rumor is Gennett is also involved with Globus trauma. Can anyone confirm this is true?

It is true. He's going to be "involved" by luring some of his surgeon friends over, and will be paid in a consultative way. But won't be leading sales force or anything.

As unattractive as spine is at the moment, it makes even less sense to go into trauma looking for sales and profit growth. Horrible ROI and intensely competitive requiring a major commitment to service. Globus ought to sell out to Stryker or whomever will pay them a modest premium over their current market cap. The tea leaves say the future is going to be a lot more challenging with market prices in free fall. Take it from me.

What is a quintiles rep? I've been out of the trauma game for awhile and never heard of this
