There were some reps and at least 1 regional manager who were let go last week. Does anyone know how many? Typical Nobel. They just seem to do this every year around this time.

How do you 'know' this ? Since you don't know 'how many' or anything else, you sound like a bullshit artist to the rest of the board.

Why not just keep your innuendo and slime to yourself unless you come forward with credible information? We're waiting.

What competing compant do you work for ? or are you just another unemployable loser spreading rumors?

    Go Fuck yourself.

Relax, I ran into a Nobel Rep and he too mentioned layoffs. It's ok, listen, it's typical for this company to do this. Just be happy it wasn't you....yet.

It's true. We are headed for the crapper with this sorry excuse for managment and lack of new products. I'm putting all my black suits and red ties on ebay.

I've heard Nobel reps are targeting specific specialist within their territory by offering implants less the $240. First thing first, why as a rep would you want to do that? It just decreases your potential income. Second, when Nobel decides not to offer those prices anymore, then what? These guys will just turn around and your 3rd tier companies because now it's justified or "expected' that those prices ought to be the market rate. Can I match it creatively, of course. However, I held my ground knowing the Nobel surgeon down the street does not pay anywhere close to the $240. (He's a bigger fish too, which just makes the idea of offering a lower price to his competitor more insane).

Last, by offering these low prices, don't reps understand that the company operating income will decrease, which will lead to further cuts? Seriously peeps, if you want to dump, then go work for Keystone or Implant Direct. Otherwise, stop messing with the market and sell on product feature or science. Selling based on price brings no value to the relationship other than the doctor thinking "wow, since I got if for less than $240, how much lower can I ask you to go? I know, I'll just threaten that I will leave to another company that will match or go cheaper!"

By the way, there are 2 specialist that 'were' loyal to this rep. They are flaming mad that the guy down the street will be getting those implants cheaper. At this point, none want to entertain the idea of having the prices match. Funny though, one of them don't mind paying more with me, so long as it's not retail. He's looking forward to going into battle, which makes my life easier converting Nobel using GP's and maintaining a large percentage of my users. Thanks for the gift! As the saying goes, 'a penny wise...'

Poor surgeon. I really feel bad for them. At this rate his personal earnings will drop from 1.4 million to 1.3 million this year.

Give me the names and addresses and I'll take up a collection for them.

Put a red kettle outside their clinic door and hire a drunken wino bum or a GP dds (whichever is cheaper - remember - austerity) to ring the bell.

After all, implant surgeons are special and gifted and deserve EVERY perk and Best Price.

Remember, without THEM you don't HAVE a job. . .

$240 is much higher than Nobel discounts to get Dr. Kraut in NY. Check out National Discount Registry on Implant Direct's website to see who the real discounters are.

    Was that Dr. Sauer Kraut?

Richard Kraut of Montifori Hospita. Nobel went below $120.

    Help me understand...

If you sell to the VA hospital, there's a contract that is signed that stipulates no other entity (gov't owned or private) cannot receive a lower price than there contractual agreement with said company. So, say Nobel signed the contract to sell implants to the VA Hospitals for around $220 per, then wouldn't they be held for breach of contract if Kraut, or any private practice is paying equal or lesser value price?

Yes Nobel would be breaking the contract with the VA and maybe the law if they were to sell implants to someone else for less than the contract price. But if a doctor signed a deal with Nobel for a little more than the VA Contract price and then the rep hand delivered a bag of implants to the same doctor to effectively reduce that doctors per implant price to below the VA price that would be a hard thing to prove. This is typically how Nobel operates.

    R.I.P. Current Nobel reps.

Got your new numbers yet ?

Did you exceed 2012 forecast ?

Polish up the old BS filled resume.

You'll need it soon. AND a new, clean set of knee pads is optional.

Start drinking heavily, it's only a bad dream. . .

You do realize that you could replace "Nobel" in your statement with any other implant company's name and it would still be accurate, right?

    Absolutely, 100% correct.

Very good, Grasshopper. You may leave and go out into the world now.

You would be safer carrying a rifle in a deep valley in Afghanistan with a red dot sewn on your back than being an 'implant rep'.

    Fun to Watch, though.
