Earlier this week there was a category called Colors That are TMs. The contestants were the best of the best this week - T of C. So there was the delivery company - Brown - of course UPS - and the $1,000 answer? The clue was about a drug that treated heartburn - Purple - and not one of the 3 champions had a clue - The answer was AstraZeneca and the drug Nexium. We finally made it. And not one of the 3 experts could answer. What does that say about our branding and all the people that rode Pri and Nex marketing to big careers? We are a question that has no answer on Jeopardy. Another sad footnote in AZ history.

At least Pri and Nex had a brand image at one time. What are current teams doing to establish a meaningful brand impression?

Nothing. They ran out of ideas when they published their last Astra Girl swimsuit calendar.

Oh yes the pure genius of it all, "The purple pill" and filling candy jars with purple jelly beans. Yes indeed, those Astra Merck teams were brilliant. And what was the branding for Nexium? Oh yes, son of Prilosec. Again, pure genius.
