Having "Keystone" on your resume is like saying you worked at Enron 10 years ago. Implant companies worth working for won't even entertain a discussion beyond that.

The last two dip shits that posted are sales weasels that can't sell a hot dog at Fenway! All of the management teams that have brought in are from mental institutions. They are scum bags and if you really want a real employee you should hire someone that was let go from Keystone because we are the best you'll ever find. Do not hire anyone who was or is in current management!

Now that they don't have the borrowed money to buy people off anymore, what are they going to do? Sell implants for real? I don't see it lasting very long.

Keystone closed the doors in Belgium, Netherlands and a few other countrys. They fired all employees in this countrys. And the rumor is going round and round that the other parts of europe are part of the closing strategy too. For example the buisiness in Germany, France and Italy.

  7. Dear all,

This rumor is absolutely wrong. Keystone Dental has not stopped doing business in any country.

At the contrary, we are working hard to increase our business in Europe and develop a new image. We recently changed our corporate branding. Do you think a company that is going to close would invest money in such expense?

You are warmly invited to visit our new website: www.keystonedental.com

    Best regards

If you were trying to sell the company to a venture capital group, yes, I believe that you would rebrand the company, and try to make it look like it was a success. Additionally, I believe a rebranding typically equates to a previous failure. Rebranding is done to separate oneself from a previous bad reputation or business misstep. In this case it was for the most part both. Unfortunately any rebranding, or marketing has to be supported by good products and service if you plan on the business being viable. Both of which are lacking at Keystone.
Keystone has no Research and Development, instead relying on licensing. Keystone has no exclusive products-the markets Keystone serves are also served by numerous competitors. Easy Guide for example-NobelGuide, Simplant. Keystone implants don't offer any advantages at all. Their bone materials are all being sold by other, larger companies under different brand names. Keystone has minimal marketing, and a very small sales force. Why would anyone think that this company is term viable?

Does the Prima implant have any prosthetic compatibility with any other implant? Same question for Neoss? Thanks.

Both of the implants you mention have proprietary connections, they are not compatible with any other implant company's products. So in a few years when both Neoss and Keystone are out of business and Mrs Jones comes into the dentist because her implant screw or abutment has failed, the dentist can't get a replacement part.

This information is inaccurate. The Neoss implant is compatible with any Branemark regular diameter external hex implant by using a hex adapter. The screw thread is identical to the same as well.

and who makes that hex adapter after Neoss entered the history book of implants?

Ripoff artists like Keystone and Neoss are just that--ripoffs.

No one would try to copy what they do because there's no money in it, and they aren't good enough products to waste time mimicking. Keystone bought Lifecore (copycat co.)because at the time they tried to launch another copycat (Straumann clone), and had huge problems because they don't know how to make anything. When that failed, they bought a no technology company, changed the name, and marketed it. It must be uninsipring to work at these places that don't add anything of value to an industry and just try to suck it dry.

Thank you for the info. I think I will look into another company that has true compatible features. I know that there a many out there.

I would not want to be stuck with a big stock of Keystone inventory when they go under. You couldn't give that stuff away. You will be stuck with implants and parts that aren't compatible with anyone else. Looks elsewhere. There are plenty of companies with components that are compatible with many other systems.

Make way for all the Genesis implant returns. When Lifecore is your best branded implant, you are toast.

When you run a company like Keystone with a skeleton crew of employees to save $$ so you don't go out of business, everything is affected negatively. Every person at Keystone is doing the job of four people, with $0 for budgets. Departments like manufacturing, quality control, accounting, marketing, and sales, are undertrained and understaffed, every department's output quality suffers. it's an unpleasant experience working with Keystone for customers, patients, vendors, and employees alike!
