Layoffs 2018

Will there be? I know that someone out there must know something regarding the Entresto sales force. Access issues, lack of real product growth, unrealistic expectations...for the love of Christ, please!!! Does somebody (anybody) know if the company has a layoff plan in place for next year?

 

We are in growth mode you idiot...we are adding people not cutting.

 

I don't think there will be layoffs but think current structure will be reorganized.

 

There are always layoffs.....keep your resume updated and your network warm.

 

PDI will be gone by summer 2018. Nothing else is planned yet.

Another genius. End date means nothing, Novartis can cancel contract at any time for any reason. Just like they can lay you off any time.

 

Any pharma company has multiple contingencies. Novartis is no different. Theses are based on multiple outcomes, both success and failure. Look to past product launches like Tekturna. Growth is not as important as performance against forecast. Whatever happens, it will be a business decision. People won't matter, although corporate will spin it to sound as though they are putting the sales force first.

 

Lighten up dude. We're all well aware of this. Just simply stating current contract timeline is through July 2018.

They will renew it on 8/1/18 and we will sail for another 24 months into 2020.

 

Entresto will reach 1 billion in sales by 2019.

Entresto will not make it to goal.
PDI contract will be terminated before July.
Territories will be realigned with some layoffs taking place. CV1 and CV2 will be calling on Cards as well as PCPs with "mirror " territories. The layoffs will be due to the elimination of some PCPs that are not worth calling on; therefore eliminating some territories. CV1 and CV2 will be reporting to the same manager as districts get realigned geographically under that one manager.
Budgets will be set and controlled as compared to this open budgets right now.

 

Sounds very reasonable and IMO likely to happen.
