Of course they are. The biggest drug in the history of pharma is going to face a biosimilar in 01/2023. This place is bloated everywhere, and we all know it. It's not IF they happen, but WHEN they happen.

Is the entire company at risk or just specific divisions? What about allergan?

Relax people, it will be at least a year or two before layoffs will even be considered. A lot of people wrote dec 1 which will come and go with no layoffs.

agreed. there won’t be a need for as many of us once 2023 rolls around and it won’t make sense financially to have our current headcount seeing as there are already more than enough reps on Humira alone. I think the company will milk it until 2023. don’t see a big layoff happening for another 1-2 years.

Astra Zeneca just let go of 500 sales reps today. Other companies will soon follow.

Wouldn’t it make sense then to move to derm or GI since that’s where the expansion is?

Are we expanding? No, just reallocating talent. Rheum overhired. Majority of the new Derm positions will be from Rheum.

AbbV, for good or bad, makes a commitment to look internally first.
