If WHC is truly going to transform culturally, we need to speak up, be honest and forthcoming. It’s unfortunate that people are still unable to do this for fear of retaliation. Sure, talented people left the organization for better opportunities, but that’s only part of the equation. Lesa is a bully who micromanages and is incapable of listening to ideas unless they are her ideas. That’s a major leadership flaw and this tiger isn’t going to change her stripes. When great people feel undervalued and unable to make an impact, they leave. The good news is that Nelson has an extremely high EQ and I’m confident he sees through her bullshit. Speak up people and cease the opportunity.

Sebastian and Nelson ARE listening if you speak up. Make sure YOUR voice is heard.

Indeed. Truer words have never appeared here. The recent leadership change is a breathe of fresh air that'll hopefully result in a stronger BU.

LH’s bad behavior will no longer be tolerated. I give it a month.

Bad managers (LH, AH) can take a good team and destroy it, managing out those they are intimidated by, causing the best employees to flee, the remainder will lose all motivation.

All ABDs have intentionally passed on some leaders who were recommended by their managers and teams. Internal candidates with way more buy and bill experience than the most recent batch of new managers? Some who were passed up even in the ‘so called’ leadership program? How are they not part of the culture problem? Commenting that those they passed needed more development? It is the ABDs who need more development...... all these months they have been going in and out of home office and they weren’t in touch with the culture? How is this effective leadership?

That is in all divisions... The "leadership" program is a farce and a way to appease and put off those who say they want to move up. Pretty funny how they put people through that program, and then hire people from the outside instead! Do you really buy the "you're not ready", "you weren't prepared", or " you need more time"? Probably good candidates, but shouldn't waste their time with Bayer waiting around to move their careers ahead. They talk with pity behind your back, so just move on.

Current ABDs the largest challenge in changing this culture. It will be interesting to see if Nelson and Chelsea can get that situation addressed. Does anyone know what exactly it is that they do? Other than approve the RBMs expenses, do they really have a role?

They don’t even do that! Gretchen does.

Chelsea should know since she was an ABD! This culture stuff is pure shit- Sebastian, Nelson and the rest are making it up to mask the fact that the WHC business is dying and they are strung up the dissolve. Wake up all and find new pastures.

safe to say the lovely ABD team does not know what listening is. They are nodding when Nelson says transparency and change culture. Actions say everything. They do not care what people in the field think. It wasn’t just LW that was the problem.

    1. Get rid of Lesa
    2. LET THE REPS NOMINATE THEIR ABD'S!! I think you would be surprised at the results. The current Golden Boy would NOT be chosen.
    3. Bring Brandon McCray back as ABD. He motivates his team like no other.
    4. Make all new externally hired managers go thru intensive training so they understand the business.
    5. Bring back Rep of the Year awards.
    6. If a manager has lost 1/3 of their team within a year that manager needs to GO....or get put on a plan. Why are managers not held accountable?

    6. a. If an ABD has lost half their team their position should be evaluated. They should be evaluated. Why would so many RBMs not want to work for them?

Lesa, is a well respected member of the management team and is well liked by performers in the field. She is however known to push her people to be successful and to be above average performers. Yes, people who cant perform or have been forced out cant stand her as you have read all previous posts by a few bitter e employees. Lesa, keep up the good work and we value and respect your leadership. Please stop these negative posts as they do nothing to move the business forward!
