Lincare- ever worked for Sheila Howard?

    Just wondering if anyone out there has been on "the hitlist" this woman has. I am a previous employee (not disgruntled towards the company, only this area manager). She not only lacks the ability to motivate her staff, she micro manages her managers and spends none of her time with her sales reps. I don't know why upper management has not questioned the lack of growth in her area, maybe they should interview some of her employees

    no. She cant be any worse than Pam Capella. What a space cadet! She instructs to lie about compliance issues and same sentence says the conversation never took place. There is lots of corruption in her area. prides herself on sales but is just a talking head.

    Pam Capella is absolutely clueless about what is going on. All she does is repeats what she has been told by her center managers and employees. Try sometimes to make sense of what she says! She uses her aggressive talking style and positioning to sound like she knows what she talks about, but if you listen carefully you'll see that she has no idea of what she is saying herself....

    They're both not good managers. Their puppet masters for the center managers or should I say their puppets. All employees that work at each center are puppets for the managers that they each work for. Everything is micro managed and no one can make any decisions(you can't order pens or paper without a area manager approval). I worked for the company for almost seven years before realizing there's more to a career than working for a bunch of crazy people. You're always asked to do noncompliance things, but they say they don't ask that of you. It's all double standard, no one is treated equally within the centers. If I wanted to be treated like a child, I would move back to my parents, and that's how all employees are treated working for either one of these two. Good luck is all I can give to anyone wanting to start a career or that is stuck there working with these two idiots. The regional mgr should do her job and get rid of them both. What's the turnover for these two area managers? Bet its higher than any other center nationally! Peace out!

    This is hilarious. Thanks to my previous co-worker for emailing me the information to find this! News travels fast by internet. Being a previous employee of Lincare, I wished this site had been here when I was still with them. We could've bashed their ridiculous tactics on here. Corporate will eventually catch up to them and see who they are and how they treat employees.

    Is it Sheila Hitler or Howard you are speaking of? Either way, she's a complete and utterly idiot, that shouldn't be managing a dollar store let alone a area the size she has control of. Best of luck to all you small people that work for you, oh wait she's the small one, that talks down to you all. Get out while you still have a life, she'll drain it out of you. She does it to everyone!

    The biggest difference between Pam and Sheila is...well Pam knows how to sell and run an area. Sheila? Does she even know the meaning for dressing professionally? Sheila hands down is the worst...point blank. Speaking as a former employee you definitely have to be careful about what you say. If she disagrees with you then your automatically on her hitlist. She'll find a way to get rid of you even if you are producing numbers in the field. She'll keep managers around that have no business sense or an ethical bone in their body. For example the managers in Rock Hill, Charlotte, Southern Pines, and even Monroe.

    How many managers have come through the Charlotte center? Too many to be the fault of the center. When is HER BOSS going to get a clue and understand that maybe it's not the people being hired, but it's the PERSON doing the hiring. I'm not sure what her strong point is other than being a RT and pretending to know more than she actually does. Sheila truly needs to learn how to inspire her employees and do for education; instead of tearing them down.

    All I know is that someone at Corporate will eventually get a clue about what's going on and see that all of her managers are just "Sheila's Puppets." Heck, I'll even go so far as to say that her boss maybe under that influence. There is too much turnover in her area and too many good people that have walked in and out of that revolving door in Sheila's area.

    What have we learned? Sheila doesn't educate, inspire, and only tears down her employees; while keeping incompetent managers working for her.

    Sheila should learn:

    *how to effectively argue and disagree with others (that someone may have a better idea than you/or your completely wrong on how to handle an account)
    *how to hold everyone to the same standards (including herself and managers)
    *to do continous education throughout the center
    *to go on sales calls and ACTUALLY see what's going on in the field, since the sales rep is the expert in his/her territory(not you Sheila)
    *to hire managers that know what they are doing and following LINCARE, HIPPA, and FDA guidelines (such as setting patients up with no script or getting patients to "TRY" liquid oxygen without a change in modality)
    *help managers learn the processes of handling heldsales
    *how to, above all, to INSPIRE others

    Here goes another post for the great leader! Don't they all love her dearly? We can say she has successfully ran off another dedicated, successful and a fabulous producer of a sales representative. He had a great relationship and trust with many of his physician offices.
    Sheila and Albemarle center mgr. should have went out of their way to try and make him happy, from what other employees have told me from surrounding centers, is he was the only one the last several months with positive numbers for her area. She's an idiot, again. Heard the center manager wasn't easy to get along with either. Said she was a micro manager, control freak, had to know what everyone was doing every minute of the entire day. Trust issues, sounds like the problem. If hes a producer of numbers, you shoud have let him alone to do his job, or thats what i think. I did have the priveledge to meet him several times and work with him a few days as well. Seems like a hard worker and genuine family man, nothing Sheila knows about. She only cares about herself, and that's it.
    By the way, Sheila, how's the action plan you are on working out for you? Your time is limited before Pete finally sees the light, and let's you go. Mary can't save you forever. Then you will be all alone, helpless. Like you usually make people feel when. fire them, or belittle them. You will get what is due to you from Pete. You've hadgreat managers, sales reps, csrMs, service reps, hcs's and various other emploees uouve been down right ugly to in the past. So, remember, when Pete tell you to clean out your desk, don't take it personal, you just aren't needed any longer due to lack of performance. So pack it up and good luck.
    To the center manager in Albemarle, good luck finding someone to replace the sales rep you lost. He had relationships that can't be built in a month or a year from what I've been told. I wished I had known he was leaving, I would have tried to get him to relocate to my area.
    Wished more people would get onboard with this, there's alot of anti Sheila supporters out there.

    It's not just Sheila. Mary is the biggest issue as well. Mary is such an idiot. Mary is a liar and is afraid to tackle the biggest issues. Mary Payne is honestly an idiot...meaning great to your face, but will talk about you behind your back. She says she lots of things and is mote concerned with her child and dogs than anything else. Hey Mary, get a clue and stop being so damn slack. Maybe Pete should get rid of you as well, but my thinking is that Lincare management (meaning elites-region managers) should be held accountable. Mary you're pathetic. Amazingly how we get all your husbands CPAP business now.

    Finally, there's light at the end of the tunnel.
    Sheila and her so called center managers, aka string puppets will get what's been coming to them. Life Gas purchased them in the last several days. The center manager in Albemarle informed her employees today that it was finalized. An employee there said she was concerned for her job and her upper management.
    So this is to all of us who's been wishing and praying for them to get the "axe". It may take a year for them to catch hold of their tactics, but its only a matter of time when they are all packing their desks up and being escorted to the door and their keys taken away. Such a glorious day for us ALL.
    To the other great employees that is within Lincare, you will be taken care of. Especially since all the thorns will be removed from your side.
    So to the Life Gas and Linde group, please think clearly and remove the ones that haven't done their job for the last several years and ran many dedicated, trustworthy, number producing managers and sales reps off from the Charlotte region(Mary, Sheila and Petes region). :) smile Sheila, its nothing personal

    The sales representative from Albemarle is on his way out.
    As the saying goes, another one bites the dust. When is Pete, Sheila and the Albemarle center mgr. Teresa or as she calls herself Mother Teresa going to get their walking papers from Life Gas aka Lindy.
    eric was a nice rep, he walked into a gold mine with what Eddie had accomplished there. But he couldn't stand the headaches of Sheila and Teresa, or so I am told.
    We should find a new job asap, they're all crazy here at Lincare.
    Good Luck Eric on your adventure. It has to be better than this crazy company.

    Wow, another HUGE loss for the Albemarle center. I heard the news yesterday about the rep leaving. Can you imagine how all the referral sources must feel being told by another well liked rep that they're leaving?! Several people did tell me that he was leaving on good terms with the office and had decided to accept a job closer to home. Good luck to him and sure he will do an awesome job and will be greatly missed in the albemarle area. As to the albemarle center, this is another major set back losing 2 great reps back to back. Relations are not easy to build and now will be even more difficult bc referral sources now will be wondering if that person will be around for 1 day or 1 year. I just dont understand how a company can invest so much money into training these reps and then be ok with the high turnover in these centers. Seems to me, micro managing may not be the way to go...

    She's on her way out, or so it seems.
    Hopefully everyone will see the true Sheila and how she babies Teresa in Albemarle and covers up all her issues and high turnover rate, due to the micro managing she does.
    Mary should be scraed also, she knows all about the covering up, lies and deciet between Sheila and her precious Teresa.
    Glad Eric didn't wait and stick around for them to treat him like they did Eddie, the previous sales rep for Albemarle. They mentall, emotionally and physicall drained him weekly.
    Good luck, I am sure Sheila will allow Teresa to hire someone from her church, as she does that often, even when not qualified for the position.
    People can only fly so high, before they hit face first on pavement. It's coming, and we will all embrace it with laughter like Sheila does when she fires someone.

    at the end of the day, this is a nice overview..look up the job postings and read the job description for sales rep. It's amusing how they say must have "excellent human relations skills"..and in the center manager job description. Says "supervising quality individuals".You don't see any part of that description that mentions requirements for excellent human relations for center managers. That sums it up pretty well. Apparently being a manager you dont have to have excellent human relations, which several don't, but they do a great job at micro managing those "quality individuals". Maybe one day they will get some quality managers which those quality sales will appreciate and go the "extra mile" Its called respect, professionalism, and TRUST which a center manager must have to have that "winning team." If you dont, you will build a winning team against you, and in the end, the truth will show, numbers will be poor and morale will be nearly nothing. Remember practice what you preach, and "your people" will follow.
     
  17. I've worked for Sheila and Teresa at the Albemarle center. I could not disagree more. Sheila has been nothing but supportive and fair to me. And Teresa cares about people more than anyone I've ever met. I think there are many cowards on here who want to rant and rave anonymously when quite possibly past Sales Reps may have just done a poor job. Say what you will about Teresa Lanier. She doesn't claim to be perfect. She is quite honest about her flaws. But she would never post such hateful, bitter words as what I've read here.

    in my opinion lincare is a medicare scam. there are many lawsuits against them. when u file, list clearly what was going on with the medicare money. like my boss was mean to me because I didn't force the med reorders on the patients that said no. or I didn't bring in enough new medicare oxygen patients.
