SPOT ON. MORE PEOPLE NEED TO SPEAK UP. GET UP, STAND UP.

We can stand up and speak our mind but it won’t make one bit of difference, this was planned for some time and TNT will find anything positive in it 6 months from now to take personal credit and use it to leap to another franchise. When Novartis hits the market, there won’t be a stitch of business for this group and the rebate accounts will move on.
Finally, considering who was hired for east and west managers, one is decent and the other is a total fraud. Watch those left bail for the next opportunity they can land.
God help those who don’t think it will only get worse.

True, then F management and leads. They are NOT your friend. They are ready to throw you under the bus, so don’t do crap. Come back late. Be unprofessional. Because a company that doesn’t show respect should not deserve respect in return.

They can try to "reorganize or restructure" calling it the Ophthalmology franchise, but the truth is Lucentis in on its last leg. It had a good run, but there are newer and better products on the market now. The best CS's have left or are looking to leave just as soon as they find a new gig. The one's who were kept on got screwed because they weren't offered packages. They'll be used for a few more months, told how great they are, and given tokens of appreciation in hopes they'll forget what happened to their colleagues, and when the company has no use for them, they'll be kicked to the curb.

The idea that these newly created roles are the model for the future is ridiculous. Most surgical and biotech reps currently operate in a space where they can address clinical, surgical, buy & bill, payer landscapes, rebates, and discounts. Face it, when it comes to selling a potential device, they won't be using the current team, instead they'll go out and hire qualified surgical reps who know how to compete.

The best thing the company can do is hire a bunch of outsiders who don't know the history and are so pumped up about working for Genentech they'll believe anything they're told.

The remaining people in this franchise do recognize how damaging the restructure was to the culture, moral and future. But you can’t blame them for playing the game and appreciating getting placed. Some need their salary or don’t live in areas with a plethora of jobs. Packages only last so long. As time goes on, we will see many leave, some will stay within the company, others will go to a competitor and some will retire. The package was healthy and those of us that took it will never see anything like that again. There is much talent in the displaced, we will move on to great jobs.
Maybe we meet again, my friends, in a much better place.

What a waste of time Genentech turned out to be. I truly will NEVER Vote Democrat ever again. Recall Gavin Newsome!

They began a while back. It’s just workers are kept in the dark. My suggestion. Raise HELL. Keep the focus on management that needs to get cut too. Don’t make it easy to fire you.

TH had been running the Ophthalmology team into the ground long before the restructure and without possessing any leadership talent to turn it around, she just cut a bunch of people...for the record, ANYONE could do that.

ANYONE could consistently make mistakes in managing the brand; anyone could have created a team of primarily complacent hacks and then cut them all when the entire organization’s priority is to restructure, aka transformation.

ANYONE can bring in ZS Associates (or similar) to create this new field model (which is template, not innovative at all). ANYONE could totally f-up the execution of the restructure.

TH is a POS LEADER and even worse human being. She needs to be in an individual contributor role ASAP. Why does she get to totally sh@t the bed and then stick around. She sucks at her job.

There SHE goes.... off like a prom dress on prom night. You wrecked havoc, destroyed morale, sent away really talented people and f’ed up the entire franchise. Toodles tiffy! You won’t be missed.

shes going to work for KF. The guy who green lit lamps despite dubious data. Who led us down this path and then jetted back to the east. Lord help any company trusting those two to commercialize anything.

We are so friggin irrelevant out here now. Thinking we can win back business with accounts we told to go screw because they weren’t significant enough a few years ago to justify our time. Who really thought we’d be welcome back in??
Gotta get out of here and get the mojo back.

Apply, it’s a great gig. Awesome management and great perks! You will have 4 states including Texas and forced to study ecosystems.
