How do you know if a company is horrible? When their most tenured and talented employees are leaving by the boat load. Wake up Convatec!!!!! This is not good. Pretty soon this will be a talentless organization.

What a huge loss of talent this week, highlighted by an insulting footnote. Leavers???? Really? After devoting a huge part of ones career, (not to mention participating in a successful and thriving Convatec of years past)--not the current rotting corpse that remains today. A company will die a slow death with a malignant culture. What happened to taking care of your valuable people??? This is just plain dumb.

It is glaringly evident that the HR VP Americas is incompetent and needs to be shown the door.

We lost some good ones this week. The number one problem is Convatec does not value employees. HR will never get it. This used to be a wonderful company to work for but the toxic culture is simply not worth it. Better to go where your hard work and talents are actually appreciated.

The culture here is toxic. Everyone is miserable.

C'mon now guys, lighten up. We are "Pivoting to Growth", we have Quickbase to show us the way and a whiz kid with loads of sales experience, Margaret, leading the way. (that's right, I believe she answers to no one, Rebecca & Mary are likely scared shitless & are powerless to say anything). I'm certain customers will soon wake up, understand that CVT is pivoting, and that these "War Room" weekly conference calls will light a fire under their ass to begin ordering up more stuff. What a strategy George!!!

Hopefully some of our fellow TMs will take the opportunity to voice their concerns.

Dear new CEO please clean house in upper management. Hire a team of individuals that actually have a clue. Quickbase and War Room are not working.

New CEO: The US crew who have been in power for the past year have nearly driven this company to its death, lack experience of the market and how to do their VP jobs, yet are still on a leadership team? How and Why are they still in roles? How do you justify Chuck c? Christian hone? Rebecca? It has not been a turn around by far and yet we still employ these people?? Need to start explaining this.

George Poole and all beneath him need to go. You left several names out. We have great products but this company is being run to the ground by a clueless group. Whoever came up with War Room, Quick Base, and thought that expanding every TM’s territorries to cover multiple states in geographies that make absolutley no sense needs to be fired. None or these thinga are working!!

Agree. Rebecca and Mary are scared shitless to speak up. No one can actually speak the truth because everyone is afraid too. That is the environment that Convatec has created. You better be a yes man or you will pay the price. Does anyone have the balls to be honest here?

None of this is new. It has been a culture of shut up and do your work for a very long time now. Some of those who once dared to speak up ended up leaving the company (the smart ones) because no one gave a shit nor did anything about the feedback they offered; and those who stayed have been set aside, basically left for dead as they are now labeled as shit disturbers. Meanwhile, you see complete incompetents being promoted or given Global job expansions (Do I hear HR?). What were you thinking? They have destroyed the US and now watch how they will destroy the rest of Convatec. Can I give one piece of advice to anyone in charge? Start coaching your VPs to manage down instead of managing up and sucking up to you. I’m sure you find this annoying anyways so have them pay attention to the ones below, the ones doing the ground work and bringing in the sales. A small effort that could go a long way. That’s all folks!

Amen! Well said. And for all the advice solicited and given, none has been taken. This is a factoid that is destined to bite you in the ass. Keep circulating the same self-centered asshole(s) from destroying one team on to another team etc. Left in purgatory waiting to self promote and ruin more peoples lives. Some additional advice, (which I'm sure will also be ignored) Stop watching how these jerks treat you, and start paying attention to how they treat their direct reports. Good luck- I seriously mean that.

You think it’s a mass exodus now. Wait till the end of April. Particularly after 4/19 when we get our gaurentee for our leadership screw up. This is ludicrous it’s 4/1.....no comp plan, a new multi-state territory provided by zip codes on a heat map, no sales data or contacts for the new accounts. The War Room discussions are pathetic, especially since 1/2 the contacts that are listed in QB are make believe people. You can’t make this up. Leadership wants us to hit our number. 1st quarter is over and we have no clue what’s going on.

It doesn’t take a rocket scientist to understand that Europe’s market is different than US. All this shit started when they moved headquaters to the UK, then moved manufacturing to DR. The toliet bowl is now quite full and it’s time to flush this once powerful company down. There’s not much left here except the final journey down the sewer lines. We then will be recycled (sold).

Nice visual and fairly accurate. That’s why many tenured reps are leaving. The only revenue CVT will make this year is not paying their high salaries.

Does anyone like working at Convatec? How do employees get promoted?

You can get promoted at Convatec:
    - If you're a friend of the VP of sales with no relevant experience
    - If you' re an inane drone who talks a lot and says nothing they'll keep you around doing nothing while looking for a position for you where you can do no harm
    - If you're an RSM who Finished second from last place that has no relevant experience and has only been at the company a couple of years, you qualify for an ABD position

There's more, but I'm sure you get the general idea. Merritt and success do not factor into the decision-making process at all. Oh, let's not forget, having a sociopathic personality is a huge plus, (I think it may be an actual requirement for a management position).

In summary, if you have no management experience, have little or no knowledge of Ostomy care or wound care, and enjoy creating chaos, you have a pretty good shot at a position.
