hi! looking for some information regarding maternity leave for anyone that can help.

read that AGN provides 16 weeks of maternity leave for women at 100% pay. I know state disability provides compensation as well, is it possible to take more than 16 weeks and use state disability after the 16 weeks at 100% pay? Also, what about baby bonding that is supposedly allowed within the first 12 months of the baby's birth, how is that paid? If any?

    Thanks! Serious replies only please.

Are you trying to get hired so that you can take maternity leave? It happens a lot

Sounds like you should just resign and be a mom and quit milking AGN for it!

Allergan Maternity leave is 14 weeks at 100%. If you live in California or New Jersey, there is state bonding time you can take after the Allergan leave ends. It provides job protection and state paid benefits (with a cap on how much you can get). It all depends on type of delivery and if there are any complications.

Assuming you live in CA, and take 4 weeks before delivery, and have no complications, you will get 100% pay for 14 weeks, then 55% of pay for 6 weeks under CA paid family leave, and then 2 weeks unpaid (if you choose).

Why should a company pay for your choice to have a child?

If you want time with your kid then either save up vacation or quit work and be a parent. It's all about personal responsibility and choices.

To hell with that. Get everything you can from these companies. Personal responsibility is for losers. Take advantage of the system. It's rigged anyway.
