Some of the best paying markets are taking a 6% hit on the 88305. Ready for a haircut?

It is way higher for labs that fee split. If the 88305TC dropped 52% on Jan 1, 2013 then the 88305 dropped 33%. If your laboratory is a slide prep only lab that basically gives away the commercials for $15.00 per slide, then you are out of business. Do the accounting, it is very simple. Fee splitting is not a business model anymore. Besides it is unethical, insurance fraud and illegal in many states. Giving out free EMRs is over too in 2013. Giving out most of the expenses for an EMR is not a kickback...who are you kidding? What is a sales rep to do now? How about asking your director if you can sell your laboratory service based on good quality and TAT. Wait... what a concept....selling labwork based on quality. Now how do you do that when your quality is not that great?
