Merck Virology Layoffs Coming?

Merck NEVER has blockbusters. With the exception of Keytruda- the areas with 8 reps per doctor can’t last forever. Merck says they want to be a specialty company and still runs primary care minded. Sorry your next HIV product is a great technology if it were released today! That is the same story with all of the HIV drugs after isentress at Merck, a drug (or indiciation) released a little too late in the market to go anywhere. I could see them going back to 65 reps. TDF was replaced with TAF at Gilead and no STR with isentress ever. Just second generation integrases with single tablet formulations. Not sure why you’d stick around.

 

Anyone sticking around thinking this is the place to be is either stupid or lazy. Either get your head out of the sand or stop being lazy and actually challenge yourself for better. This is a dead end street.
