From the very beginning this nation has been created by a combination of (and by the compromise of) 2 opposing viewpoints 1) those favoring a strong central government (Adams, Hamilton & Adams) and the 1st opposition party favoring smaller, localized control (ie Jefferson and the Democratic/Republican Party which became the Republican party). These people were all founding fathers. We have survived, what's going on today is nothing new but it's very interesting to note that each viewpoint, at certain points in history, becomes absolutely convinced that they are the 'way and the light'. Since this is a complex land with a rich mix of people, we really need ALL viewpoints and the freedom for all viewpoints to exist.

In short Sparky, calm down!

Breitbart TV would keep losers like you off the street and out of adult book stores.

Bannon looks like his face was on fire and someone put it out with an ice pick.

You think you know everything but I bet you never lived for a long period of time in a country that works a lot better than this one. I have so that created new ideas in my mind . A lot of Americans are fed the bullshit that we are so great and noble. Check out the carnage we have created around the world. Lots of places run better than us -

We don't create carnage, we try to prevent it. You are terribly confused, but hey if we are so bad then please leave as quickly as possible.

This nation was founded on Christian principles and values. George Whitfield, an evangelist, was as responsible for our nation as any of the founders as he was used by God to generate the Great Awakening which resulted in the conditions for our founding.

You're welcome! Yes, I know your ignorance is profound and that you're in terrible need of education. I'm always here to help.

No, I haven't. If you have, my question is, why are you not there now? When are you going back? I have VERY good friends who live in Thailand, England, Australia, Brazil, Mexico & Zambia. None would trade their lives to live here. I've considered it but then again, at my age, retired, very comfortable, children & grandchildren living in the great state of California - not to mention my great healthcare plan? Not to mention swim suits optional beaches and the local pussy posse? No way, I'm staying...

Like you I have family and roots here. My only point is that after living abroad I realized how indoctrinated Americans are about how great their country is. Not so much Nationalism elsewhere although if you read any life satisfaction surveys America not at the top by any means. Most Scandinavians, Canadians, Australians happier and less anxious about life. This place beats lots of other places I do agree but we need to drop this nationalism -the Germans dropped theirs after you know who!! I see signs of Fascism budding in America. Not a good place to go.

I could take Scandinavia, Canada, Australia, Spain or parts of Brazil.

Thanks for the laugh! The great state of California? That's a real knee slapper. Totally breaks me up. I mean it's in horrible financial shape and a moral cesspool and you call it great? Too funny! :p

Good grief! You could put Australia, Canada and Scandinavia together and you still wouldn't have a super power. Happiness is not everything. Stoners are happy and notoriously unproductive. No thanks!

There is no problem with nationalism in this country. Never has been and still isn't. Now I am with you on concern about fascism. I see the buds - BLM, Occupy and Antifa- all threads of the new fascism!

Yeah, that post kinda blew up in your face! :D

Many people numb nuts, many people. Where in your bible does it say anything about living in a 'consequential' nation? :p
