Yep, I agree too, although Oregon is starting to get a big following out west.

KS is not the best team in the country. OR has to be, they trample their opponenets by over 20++ points in every game--- KS state beat unranked TCU by only 10 points.

Why the hate? Truth hurts. You bully everyone. You are nothing but a spoiled punk. BamaBoy confirmed FT did not change her picks her "intent" was clearly to fix grammer. But you cried and cried and had a temper tantrum. Grow up man up and do not take credit for the pick you know it is the right thing to do

BamaBoy - re: the Virginia/Miami game - Virginia was -1. Virginia won 41-40. Therefore, after you deduct the spread point the score is a wash. Under normal gaming rules I believe both sides win on the point spread, not just the team that actually won the game.

In other words, let's say that Virginia had a -7 instead of a -1. If Virginia won the game by a touchdown the players who picked Miami would still win on the spread.

Please research this. I will wait until you respond to do the LeaderBoard.

Tink, Oregon averages 54 points a game so far this season. That's an amazing statistic. Scoring 54 points in one game is an amazing feat. Score an average of 54 points in 10 games is an indication of a complete kick ass offense.

Beside the 23-10 TCU score - K-State barely squeaked by Iowa St 27-21 and Oklahoma 24-19.

Oregon will prove their NCAA dominance next week against Stanford. ;)

BamaBoy - here is the answer. It's called 'a push' when the score ends up being a tie on the spread. There is no winner or loser. The wagered money is simply returned to the the wagerers.

We can treat it one of 3 ways here on Pick 'Em: (1) All players get the pick correct. (2) All players get the pick incorrect or (3) We strike the pick completely so that there are only 15 picks in Week #11 for everyone.

It would seem that Option #3 would make most sense. However, as a group we can decide if we would rather use Option #1 or Option #2.

But awarding a win to some players and a loss to other players on the Virginia/Miami game should not be allowed.

Here is the definition of 'a push':

A push is in essence a tied bet, where the player has neither won or lost and their stake is returned as if there was no wager made A push may also be referred to as a “no action” bet, as the bet is treated as if it was never placed and the stake is returned.

Let me know what you want to do.

I think we should just give everyone the game? It really will not change the outcome for this week out that much right? Or the second best option is just to strike the pick?

Tinkr, Thank you so much for the kind words of support. It is tough some Sunday's when I have to pack and get things ready to go out of town for work. My territory is all of Alabama and Georgia so I am on the road about 80% of the time. Sometimes I am rushed and make mistakes so I appreciate the encouragement.

Hey could you find out how many weeks you have been #1? I would guess somewhere are 4 or 5 maybe?

That's fine with me, Bamaboy. I don't think anyone would argue over making everyone a winner for the Virginia/Miami game. But it's clear that since the spread outcome was a tie that we can't give some players wins and others losses. It's only the fair thing to do. Do you want to revise the scores to make it official? As soon as you do I'll post the LeaderBoard.

The only conflict I would see is that Tinkr would share the #1 spot with White Trash. (11-5) each. Would that be ok?

Bamaboy, six of one, half dozen of the other.

Looking over the picks the only player who picked Virginia was Tinkrbelle. Everyone else chose Miami. So if we give everyone a 'win' on the game that means you would just take away a loss and add a win for everyone except for Tinker.

If you strike the game alltogether it would mean you would take one of Tinker's wins away - and for everyone else take one loss away.

So it's not going to make any difference either way.

Oh, also please double check White Trash picks. If we give everyone a 'win' White Trash would go 11-5 too.

I don't care which way we go as long as it's done fairly.

Bamaboy, this is the way I see it. If we give everyone a 'win' on the Virginia/Miami game this would be the breakdown:

Tinker and White Trash = (11-5)
    Bronco and Bamaboy = (10-6)
    Fucktard = (10-5)
    Pale Horse = (9-7)

Does that jive with what you have?

    Ooops.....correction, BamaBoy.

I have Pale Horse with (8-8) even with the Miami game as a 'win'.

    These were Pale's correct picks:

    (1) Northwestern, (2) Miami, (3) USC, (4) Oklahoma St, (5) Georgia, (6) LSU, (7) Boston College, (8) Washington.

Does that agree with what you see?

    Please double check.

I think this is the most fair way to go. Maybe we add a new rule about tieing the spread?? going forward

    You gotta understand something, Tink.

The BCS is an east-coast organization. The favor everybody east of the Mississippi.

    Here they are in action.

Sure we can do that. Thank you for being so understanding. This puts everyone at or over 50% which is extremely rare for our group! You still are number #1 and have been playing longer than White Trash so that is important.

Yeah the BCS is strange? It really does not matter though because if Oregon finishes the regular season undefeated and then wins the PAC-12 Championship Game they will be in the NC.

We all really need K.STATE & Notre Dame so that if Oregon for some reason slips up and loses a game like BAMA they could still play in the NC. Oregon has the advantage over K.STATE and Notre Dame since the PAC-12 has an additional Conference Championship Game.

New Rule for Ties or Pushes:

    7) If there is a tie or pushed Game everyone will receive the pick as a "win."

What do you think? Does this look alright?

Yeah, but the problem is that Oregon has 3 REALLY tough games left - Stanford, Oregon State and most likely USC. If the Ducks lose just ONE of those games and and K-State remains undefeated we may see the likes of an Alabama slip back into #2. I love the Ducks but they're human and their defense has it's weaknesses. And Chip Kelly can't count on his offense to run the ball down the field on every possession and score like they did against USC. Trust me. USC is going to be MUCH better prepared in the conference championship.

I'm not even worried about Notre Dame. I think there's a 85% chance USC knocks 'em off. So I'm scratching ND off my list for now. If ND gets into the NC game by fluke it would be one of those head scratching moments for sure.

The Ducks are in the driver's seat. But can they win their next 3 games? That's one tall order!
