Hi Otsuka Family, I lost my job and interviewing. What is culture like at this place? The R/D looks rich. How many days away training required for new hires? Do managers ride along once/week, once/month, once/every three months? Goals realistic? Money good? Car or Car alowance? Recruiters discourage these Q's so decided to reach out anonymous. Thanks to anyone with honest answers. HNY folks.

If you read the other threads you will know that you are the perfect candidate if

    1. you have been laid off - we love people who have nowhere else to go
    2. enjoy Kool-Aid

You can boost your chances if you tell HR how innovative Otsuka and how the most admired company in the industry. Just don't laugh when you say this or it will give it away.

The first question to you is, can you read? If you can, take 30 minutes, and review the posts on this thread. You would be hard pressed to find a worse pharma company to work for. That's all that needs to be said.

But if you read the message boards from pretty much any other Pharma or biotech company you will get the same thing because over the last few years many in the industry have became entitled, whiny employees. If the glass is half full for you it Will probably be half-full here if you are typically a glass half empty person things will be like this message board. Positive attitude is more than half the battle.

First of all the industry created the supposed "entitlement" this company included...paying people high salaries, bonuses, cars, phones etc. So take a peak under the hood my friends - who approves the salaries, bonus amounts, benefits, car, phone etc.?? Put blame where it truly lies - not with the people you are calling entitled. They are only taking what the company approves to give them! Of course when things start to fall apart or something is taken away people are going to complain and start looking elsewhere.

it is awful here.. horrible bonuses-
    Horrible DMs (MM)
    Horrible culture..
Treat as though we are first year primary care
    Micromanage- ridiculous
Salaries good but pathetic bonuses make up for it

People are looking out for themselves and will throw their partners under the bus.. its cutthroat!
    So many counterparts ..
    Sad
