How was the video interview? Mine coming up, just got notified.

 

The video interview was like all of the other ones. A cheap way to thin the herd. I think it’s the same as self check out! That being said, there were no surprise questions and time to prepare is adequate. Good luck!

 

Anyone get to the phone interview yet?

 

Yes, but more internal candidates applied so I’m pretty sure my chances are slim. Even if I was offered a live interview , I wouldn’t accept as from what I understand they always hire internally, especially for these types of roles.

 

Yup it’s all BS basically to hire internal candidates. No bother applying that’s how Genentech works

 

The official Genentech term is “seat filler”. It’s a term that legal came up with.

 

Yep I interviewed for three other positions with Genentech in the in the past and lost out all three times to an internal candidate. Do they only hire externally if an internal didn’t apply?

 

This is not true especially for this role.....They are looking outside the company!

 

Dont think you cannot interview amongst the internal candidates...this role wants someone with advocacy
background....

Exactly!! This ship is sinking and no new drug can save it from the huge biosimilars tsunami that's about to hit. Even though you'd be in a different franchise it's still be a very unstable place to be. GNE has lost its soul. Run!!

Everyone in the whole company is going to be a part of the reorg. EVERYONE will know in the spring if not sooner.
