    How well does PAV+ work noninvasively? Oh yeah, not at all. How about in neonates? Oh yeah, not at all. How about in COPD? Oh yeah, terrible..........any mode of ventilation that won't work noninvasively and is dependent on "measurements" (aka voodoo) from the airways of an intubated, actively breathing patient is NOT the future! PAV was definitely a step in the right direction away from conventional modes, but it isn't a "game changer" in ventilation.....Magdy Younes would be the first to admit that.
