Mogul rode out of town in the middle of the night? That only happens when legal issues arise. Hmmm.

Perhaps compliance had issues with the amount of docs we have on knee/hip projects. Usually you get actual users of our product to be royalty bearers. Not here; you busy? Use Stryker or ZB?"Big whale" then sign em up on a deal.
It's unreal how many docs on our projects never used us unlike my loyal djo doc who now has to split pot with a bunch of brand new docs. Look to northeast my friends and the shadiness will appear.

Maybe the DOJ heard they were paying 2 San Diego docs close to a million dollars to switch their biz from Stryker. Or maybe because the DJO distributors threw a lavish birthday party for one of the docs at his home and flew in The Rat Pack from Vegas to perform? Complete with DJO reps acting as bartenders. Or they found out the distributors flew some of their docs out to Hawaii with their families to see the distributor get married. Or it could be the payments to evaluate the tibial cutting jig? All seems legit.....

There is a doc here who is putting in a set number of thier knees to ensure he gets royalties for a knee he did no design work. He will openly discuss the deal he has. There is another one here who got signed up as a consultant. Only problem with this is that he is a general Ortho guy with a relatively low volume compared to joint guys. The only non shoulder business within 200 miles from here is paid
