Anybody else agree that the new commission plan is complete BS and will force away the last remaining talent at MH? It’s another poorly designed comp plan, that will end in a fiery disaster of compliance nightmares. Paying reps to upsell on Revenue is a clear violation of the 5 Year Corporate Integrity Agreement. I personally cannot continue to work for a company that is so unjust and inconsistent their comp plans towards reps. One year it’s “this”, the next year it’s “this”, oh wait no it’s now “this”. My advice is; Lawyer up and grab your life jacket, THIS SHIP IS SINKING.

You sound like a millennial, “if i don’t hit quota I’ll sue” Heaven forbid a sales person have a quota. You know how business in the real world works? What do You want them to pay you off other than how much money you make the company?

What does "paying reps to upsell on Revenue" even mean? How do you "upsell on Revenue". You sound like an idiot who doesn't even understand the basics. Why would you EVER even discuss revenue with a customer? If you do, I'm sure you are violating company policy.

this new plan if forcing us to to violate LAWS to make money.... i followed orders and warned clients about “info on a competitor” (which mgmt TOLD) us to do... then turns out it wasn’t true and the client won’t even let me back in the office. (Apparently she talked to a c level and was told what i said wasn’t true)... how can i work for a company that forces me to “drink the koolaid” which was total lies.... discuss revenue which isn’t even legal... amongst other things. I’ve burned so many bridges i fear i can’t even go back to pharma and call on my territory.. anyone else sick of our manager lying to us and making us criminals?!

Yep, the new comp plan is just another way to steal from the hard working reps that continue to make MH millions each year, and they think we won't notice the that scales have tipped so much in favor of MH's pockets. Well guess what, we have noticed! And its not going to work for a lot of us, because we the reps are the true face of the company, and the good ones will continue to leave...... and longterm this will bite MH in the ass.

Hey, MONKEY. You realize quotas are meant to NEVER be hit, right? Here's a clue from a superior sales rep who worked advertising before medical. At 75-80% to quota, the company is making money hand over fist. At about 55% they're breaking even. Pre-analytics, these numbers were kept secret from reps. With the internet around, we pretty much can find out whatever we want in regards to earnings of any product/device/service etc.

In other words, quotas are outdated. It's a way of NOT paying reps what they're truly worth. Welcome to the year 2018, a-hole

As a lab owner, your numbers are way off. Quotas are absolutely necessary. How else do you get a rep to work. Minimum daily calls and minimum monthly new sales. This is called proof you are doing your job and actually earning your money. Our reps get a salary, benefits, car allowance, vacation time, and sale training. All this costs money, plus the lab has to pay taxes on the rep. So if you calculate this it cost about $110k per year to have a rep on the payroll. If a reps quota is $8k of new business every month the total revenue generated is $624k per year. At a 20% profit on the work the that comes to about $125k profit off the rep. Under your 80% scenario the profit is only $100k. That is not hand over foot profits. 55% quota gets the lab a loss as the profits go down with less revenue coming in. Also profits depend on the type of work closed. Are there draw/collection costs, shipping, interfacing, etc.. Plus the lab owes taxes off the profit. You are an idiot. Legitimate labs set quotas that must be hit or the rep is fired! If your quotas are too high then the lab sucks. You have no idea what you are talking about. In case you did not know PAMA and commercial payers are lowering reimbursements to make quotas even more essential. Come to the table with facts about the lab industry and not advertising sales. Not all business' are the same a**hole!

Does that question even need an answer? They were fucked as soon as they paid the CMS fine and defrauded the junk bond investors. There product always sucked, but they had nice reports and fancy algorithms that offered nothing to the doctors. Everyone was sold a bill of goods by this lab and now are shocked to learn they got lied to. Any lab opened after 2005 and sells Tox, PGX or allergy testing are crooks and everyone should stay away from them!

  12. Hey, you stupid fuck. Companies make money after 75%. That's how they pay commissions out. A rep shouldn't have to slave just so some fat fuck in corporate can pay for a car for their 4th girlfriend.

Oh bullfuckinshit! Quotas are meant to NEVER to be hit. Oldest trick in sales, asshole. Don't try and bullshit someone who has been in sales for over 3 decades. As for billing and labs, give me a fucking break. If you're paying a rep 10% commission on new business, please tell me where the other 90% is going. I will tell you where. Right into the pockets of the lab owner. As for staffing and all the other bullshit you're talking about, if the lab was run on reps making quota, it means you're not making money. But that's why you NEVER disclose the real amount you're charging insurance companies for running specimens, because you apes make money hand over fist, while crying poverty during your monthly meetings.

But here's a chance for YOU big mouth to tell us what you're being paid by insurances and Medicare to run a CBC or AIC or some of the more expensive speciality tests. Post the numbers to back up your morbidly ridiculous defense of a quota. How do you get a rep to work you ask, corky?? By paying them what they're worth. That's why quotas are created, so the rep has to work like a chimpanzee to reach goals that are mostly unattainable. And of course, the bonus is nowhere close to fair. It never is. And when they miss the quotas, the owners still get paid. And paid handsomely.

Go fuck yourself....a few times over, ok? Go sell your bullshit to someone stupid enough to work for you.

Sorry to bring back an old post, but currently in the interview process...

What is realistic for an experienced rep in Tox here, understand the science and sales process, very little training needed (other than understanding specifics to the MH product etc).

    Salary?
    Total Comp?
Benefits package? (Car allowance/mileage, phone, etc)
(I understand all three can vary rep to rep, just looking for a general idea)

Thank you in advance for any responses
