White man is bad in this company. I can’t help what color my skin is, but it is not good to be white, straight, and over 50 atAstellas.
Many other pharma companies don't have the same culture. I'd suggest looking around. With experience, you're marketable and should have no problem landing another position.
This post made me laugh so hard. I’ve been getting all of these EIg emails not knowing much about them. I don’t want to join or identify with any group. How do I “opt out” of these EIg emails? No, I have no desire to black anything out (and no, I don’t use whiteout either, as it has a funky smell), but the eig seem to totally divide the organization. Have these been around for years or is this a new thing? I felt pressure to join one as I am a woman and have been told by many women to join but really have no desire to be a part of it. I would love a conservative Christian group, but somehow don’t think that’s appropriate in the work place. That’s why I go to church. If I were a white male what should I join? I would feel discriminated against, but I know they aren’t allowed to say that. Let’s get the EIGs out of this company (without a need to protest—Chicago already has a lot going on) and give the beautiful lady emailing everyday something else to work on. Our leaders try hard but sound like robots. Super rehearsed and stiff. This is a great company but I feel the division with EIg takes away their intention. I don’t want to read any more EIg emails forced upon me. If you want to post on yammer that’s fine where I can elect to opt in, but I’m not interested in having it forced upon me.
