New Hire Training

I am a new hire heading to San Antonio in a week for 3 weeks of training. Just curious what types of things I can expect while I am down there from anybody who has been in the past year or so.

The clinical part is good. The rest is a waste of time. The director of training has an inflated ego, but do not get intimidated.

 

Director of no longer there. The new training mgr is a former DM and brings alot to the training program. New Hire training was great - need to study, get sleep, be professional

 

Bring your own crayons...they will provide the KCI coloring book for you.

 

I appreciate the two serious responses from posters above. Are the tests something that occur daily? And is the "3 test fails and your gone" policy something to really stress about?

You are in for it, girl. One test if you fail you are out. Study study. If i were you, I would quit before you start. you have no idea what you are getting yourself into.

 

Not true. 3 total tries before you get the boot. Just be sure to pay attention and study.

 

Knee pads. Dont worry about the tests. Bring knee pads though.

Oh my god!! I was in Pharma, too. What was even better was that I was a rep for Viagra, so let me just say that my DM's penis made my mouth sore! Great to be in device now! Wait, can the VAC be used as penis pump? Oh Noooooooo, here we go again!

 

From that remark I gather that you are an AE and not a CAM. The difference is in the knowledge and professionalism. God help us

 

I have to admit, I agree with you. It appears a lot of the "New" AE's probably are on their knees quite a bit. Or should I say, quite a 'Bite". KCI has hired a bunch of Idiots. And gotten rid of a lot of "Class Acts".

 

Training sucks just like the company. I wouldn't put much effort into the job we are going to be in the street soon.

 

Sooner than we think. This company is Toast.

 

Agreed Director D.H is a complete ass- 3 yrs here 3 jobs, all he wants is his next promotion

 

Did anyone get the feeling that CAMs are toast at new hire training?

 

What kind of cash can you make here, with benefits, management and b.s., etc?, Considering these types of companies. Currently in direct specialty sales position. Is it worth it or just another bust your azz for nothing except to make management richer?

 

Derek Hughs has a great relationship with Mike D if you call being an ass kisser a great relationship.
he has an ego bigger then the Grand Canyon and is just looking to get promoted to be closer to kathy B.
When he was a new DM in New Jersey, all of his reps and Cams hated him and were so happy when he left.
