Does Abbott nutrition send reps home just because they flop on a test like big pharma does to new hires? Do they do ridiculously hard tests that Dr's would fail.

Yes and yes. Sales training is a nightmare. Even worse is if you get one of these trainers as your district manager.

unless it has changed since I was there, they won’t send you home as long as you are putting your best effort forward. On the other hand, training is a nightmare. 2 weeks of role play and certifications. Expect to role play every day multiple times a day and Like mentioned above, get questions no one would know. The final day is called “day and the life” where they make you go do 3 certifications on the executive floor with 3 different people. Not sure what happens if you don’t pass but Oh how fun ;). Also don’t expect to get the weekend off when you are up there and either go home or have family come in if you live close. Saturday you have to go to a driving school for the day. Bottom line, Wasn’t the worst but wasn’t the best training I have been to. High pressure and not realistic selling like mentioned above. Corpororate still thinks that you get 1-2 minutes with a doc in the hallway and can set up appointments left and right to meet with clinicians in the op setting which we know doesn’t happen often.

Wait, they make you stay over the weekend. Something doesn’t make sense here.
