Nobel Biocare & Implant Direct I am excited to announce that we are bringing together our premium and value implant businesses, Nobel Biocare and Implant Direct, to better serve our customers and patients. Hans Geiselhöringer will lead our multi-brand implant business. He will work over the next several months to bring these two businesses together. In addition, Rikke Tengberg will lead HR for the combined company. Tom Stratton and Nora Barber will be leaving the organization. We thank them for their service. A separate announcement will follow shortly detailing Hans’ combined leadership team. We will refer to this OpCo internally as “Dental Implant Solutions” which will contain a portfolio of brands including Nobel Biocare, Implant Direct, ABT, and Orascoptic. Externally we will continue to refer to these individual brands by their current names. There will be no change to any brand internally or externally. More information will be forthcoming as these two OpCos integrate into the new Dental Implant Solutions. We will share updates on this progress with our implant associates via town halls, Journey 2020, and Nobel Biocare SharePoint.

Besides some leadership change....nothing has changed. Both Nobel and Implant Direct have been owned by Danaher for long time. ID for 10 yrs under joint venture and last year 100% owned. Nobel bought by Danaher like 2 yrs ago. Still separate companies with their own products.

Hans G couldn’t lead sailors to a whorehouse. What a sad end for a good company.

"Besides some leadership change...nothing has changed" This is like claiming that besides Trump becoming president...nothing has changed from the Obama administration. Danaher has not owned Implant Direct "for a long time." Danaher owned 75% of ID since 2011 (7 years not 10) with Dr. Niznick owning the remaining 25%. It was not until early 2017 that Danaher bought Dr. Niznick's 25%, giving it the ability to merge Implant Direct with with Nobel Biocare. The posting quoted above appears to be from a Nobel employee trying to put a spin on the leaked internal Nobel document. It reveals that Implant Direct's executive positions of President and HR have been eliminated with Implant Direct's employees reporting to the President of Nobel and other Nobel executives. The internal document states that Nobel "will refer to this OpCo internally as 'Dental Implant Solutions'." This acknowledges that Danaher considers its three implant companies as a single OpCo (Operational Company), refuting the claim that they are "Still separate companies." Yes, the two companies have "their own products," many which offer cross-compatibility. This could benefit the customers of both Implant Direct and Nobel (Alpha Biotech, Danaher's third implant company that will become part of the single OpCo, distributes its discount line of products primarily in East Block and third world countries. At least now, Nobel customers can be assured that Implant Direct's Nobel compatible abutments fit Nobel implants as precisely as Nobel's abutments because there is no barrier to the sharing of engineering drawings. And Nobel customers can feel confident that Implant Direct's products are of the highest quality, something that Implant Direct's customers have known for years, because Nobel's executives could not legally justify selling dental implant products that did not meet their highest standards. This merger of two very successful companies, Implant Direct and Nobel, can benefit customers of both companies. Implant Direct customers could gain access to Nobel's image guided solutions and Nobel customers could gain access to Implant Direct's innovative (patented) implant designs and its all-in-one packaged implants with an abutment, transfer, healing collar and cover screw included free at less than half of the US list price of a compatible Nobel implant alone.

Only took Tom and Nora 3 years to run it into the ground. BTW Rikke is no longer with the company. Wonder how long Danaher Dental Platform will belong or sold off????

How was it working with Tom Stratton? What type of a person he is? He just joined ZEST.

He made some poor staffing decisions in my opinion. Personnel turnover will be high. You don't just get Tom, with him comes Mike and David. They know each other since their Dentsply days. This is not the first company they have collectively mismanaged.
Some people flourish, others die in the internal company culture they will create.
    Good luck

Tom, Nora and David were the worst leaders I have ever had. Agree with high turnover, mainly because they hang onto useless sycophants that make them feel good and often have knowledge in their weak areas, but otherwise are disastrous for the company welfare. Good luck you will need it, but don't hang around if you think things are going downhill - they are!

Brian G for the record was the biggest ass kissing selfish, arrogant wimp that ever worked at Nobel. He ultimately got what he deserved in payback.
