The secret is out, that’s what bothers you, slacker.

Who gives a damn how many hours you work as long as you achieve your goals.

Counting hours at work is what high school drop outs, Fred Flintstone, and Union workers do and they’re no better off for it taking long lunches, doing make-work stuff, gaming the system with overtime hours and blocking young folks from getting jobs.

Too bad this thread has been hijacked by fools - probably don't even work here.

My Xtandi counterpart recently left for another opportunity with a small biotech. She showed me her ADP statement. Can not believe that I have nearly 10 more years of experience, and she is making about 50k more than me in base salary alone. This is unjust! Frustrating!

Hello, that's why people move to other companies every few years - payraise. This is not the 60's where you live and die one company, annual generous raises and a watch upon retirement. Even the best companies have little loyalty to employees especially in sales. We are expendable and just the nature of the business.

This is hard to deal with and no clue why nobody does anything about it. There is no secret here so silence isn’t working. Everybody knows that they working just as hard or harder than a counterpart making gobs more money than them. Unfortunately, it’s the most loyal that get the shaft.

youre all a bunch of Crybabies. You make a lot of money. Getting laid off is a blessing. Why? Generous severance, time off and you’ll go elsewhere and get paid even more.

Not a manager, but a derm rep with another company and from my perspective, Pfizer has been nothing but poison. They have bullied their way into a prized specialty that valued relationships and gotten aggressive demanded Eucrisa starts. Docs I have know for years tell me about it and complain all the time. I've seen offices that were once open to all, close to industry. I have 1 main product and 2 secondary products and I call on my docs about once every 5 weeks. There are 4 different Pfizer reps I run into in my territory. There are just too many of them. You get the impression that they are used to having small territories. I just wish they would go away and I don't even compete with them. They have just fouled the offices.

This post was on the Pfizer Derm thread. DO NOT bring this destructive selling model to oncology! It will be the death of our products and reputation.

Pfizer will transform Oncology into primary care. Just a matter of time.

Yes, this will happen if marketing is put in charge.

That’s all Pfizer knows! Their model is to beat drs into submission with an army of caterers buying their business. Worked 20yrs ago, until the drs got fed up and closed their doors to the idiots they call reps today. PFE, and the rest of this sad industry, is halfway down the dumper. I give it maybe five years and “ reps” will be a thing if the past.

Heard this 15 years ago. Still waiting. You failed to take into account that doctors also change with the times. Many more are unethical incompetent greedy turds today. They will always play the pharma game and Reps will always make a difference. Quit trying to wish for the end of others' careers.

You have a problem with reading comprehension.

And if that happens the best reps will leave for other companies because there are lots of opportunities in the oncology world. Pfizer will be left with a sales force of primary care reps with oncology titles, (most of whom don't get it). DON'T make that mistake as PFE will be a laughing stock and hated by accounts. An easy game for competitors to win.

No one likes the primary care model.

I don’t think anyone wants to destroy oncology sales.

They know that oncology reps have choices offering more money and stock options, better cars, relaxed cultures and usually with one drug and sole accountability.

The company is limited in how much like primary care they can make oncology before the dam breaks and experienced reps make an exodus.

I find it hilarious that Pfizer oncology reps call themselves "Oncology Specialist". Dude, you're a "sales" rep.

Let's hope so - there will be no going back if PFE makes that critical mistake. It's one of the few spaces we're not ostracized in the industry.

I have excellent reading comprehension. I responded to your rant. Maybe you should try reading the 2 together, like an intelligent objective person would do?
