And the Titanic's and Hindenburg's mission statements were to get people safely across the Atlantic in comfort and luxury.

We know how well they worked out and they had better leaders than Walt Humann.

That is one of the best posts I've read on here. Couldn't be more right!

I still laugh every time I ready the reply..classic. Love how the reps are always held accountable but no else is at the corp offices.

Is suing reps for inventory part of your core values as well? You fire reps and then sue them and say that you gave them more inventory than you actually did. You people are despicable. You fire reps and then try to make them homeless by suing them for $30k. Great core values. Do not work for this company. If there are any discrepencies on your inventory they will sue the shirt off of your back after they fire you.

wow. that is rough. i assume the rep honestly misplaced the inventory and isn't selling it for cash. what's interesting is i know of reps who turned in a surplus and of course they were not given any kind of reward. i hope OM is only charging the rep the production cost of the inventory and not the list price. (cost is probably 10-20 percent of list price?) but this goes back to the strategic decision walt made to bring in greg and put inventory control as goal #1. he must have known he could not lead the company into sales growth so he put all of the focus on bean counting. now a rep gets sued for inventory and can only get 10 marketing sheets a month. what you do is file scrap forms even when you don't scrap to give yourself a buffer. also, take inventory from trade show trays like a fiend.

That is funny that you mention that because what I used to do was go to my Pods and sell them cann screws at a 60% discount if they paid me cash. Then I would scrap them out. I made a ton more that way (tax-free) than from my rinky-dink 10% osteomed commission.

One time a doc at a trade show had to have new osteodriver. He gave my RM a $100 cash for it and we took it to a nearby casino and quadrupled it. Great times!

I cannot believe the unethical behavior going on by reps in the field. You blame Walt but YOU are destroying our reputation. Read the core values again and if you cannot abide by them please resign ASAP. We need team players to BELIEVE in the mission.

When Walt & his team of three start praticing trust & respect then former top reps won't run from OM year after year.

my RM carries a metal file and when we're restocking a tray he will pull down a competitors tray, open it and go to work on their screwdriver shafts dulling them so they won't pick up screws. he calls it medical darwinism. i saw a previous RM would take a tray and throw it in the dumpster in the parking garage. where is OM finding these degenerates?

That's the ignorant thing I have ever heard. Then again, I read it on CF, I shouldn't be surprised.

Their moral values should include hiring morbidly obese people so then they have to work long hours b/c they're only able to leave work with help from a special crane after hours.

A lot of what they are saying on this board is false but they really do try to sue every rep who leaves down on inventory.

When your handling very small products, some stuff is going to disappear. Thats just how it goes. When they charge you upon leaving they try to hit you with list price instead of cost which is absolutely absurd.

Carry as little inventory as possible and scrap like crazy.

y'all are over-billing hospitals by lying when you do bill-onlies so you should have a ton of extra inventory to send back
