Dr Dave, can an employer deny you empolyment after a job offer has been offered because a applicant is on methadone? A true prescription in hand?
With the caveat that I am Dr. Dave and not Counselor Dave, my answer is a resounding...it probably depends. State law, employer policy disclosed at interview, specific profession, etc., would have to factor in, I would think. If you elaborate on the specifics (or at least some of them), there may be others here much more qualified to weigh in than I am.
