Sorry to hear it. Which department was affected? Have they released any schedules about what the future looks like?

just noticed that Senior Leadership Team on PAML.com only includes TG and KT. What about PS, RA and FV?

All-staff meetings held yesterday at SHMC lab. We will be losing the PAML testing, which is an average across all departments of almost 50% of our volume, over the next six months. Layoffs are certain next spring. Some lab departments will be affected much more than others....hematology, microbiology, chemistry, and cytology will lose over 80% of their volumes. Sad times at SHMC.

PAML was just awful, their management team sucked

Yes, but it was the Providence 'team', so full of mission, that started this S***show by selling PAML and starting lab in Portland when they already had a high quality lab here. Who is really to blame? PAML ELT wasn't great, but they didn't pull this trigger.

Providence is to blame for all of it! Their only mission is for themselves

You can say that again. SHMC even refuses to cough up the money to replace worn-out lab equipment (that is already years past its recommended life span), and to hell with staffing appropriately. Patient safety my ass.

Saw recently several former PAML managers got jobs with LCA. Any updates about rest of staff or timing?

194 people let go today in one meeting. Took their badges in the meeting.

You must not work there. Yes, 190 people were let go but it was in multiple meetings over two days and no ones badge was taken. 30-90 days notice given in most cases.

Actually that may be correct. A few folks last day was today. The rest will have some time before their departure.
