How stupid was it to exit oncology at the moment in Time where it became the hottest area of drug development and where GSK had tremendous momentum in this space. Incredibly poor leadership and decision making by Witty and Slaoui. And poor Patrick had to defend a decision he didn’t make. At least he was trying to rebuild oncology after those two chuckleheads were fired.

 

Was at a local Boots and Patrick was working behind the cash register. He was able to convince me to buy a couple of pair of glasses out of the 3 pair for £5 bin next to the cash register that he wears. Now if I can only find the cool jeans that he wears.

Asked Patrick where he got his jeans. He indicated at Marks and Spencer in the sale rack, three pair for 10 quid. Heading over there now to get me 6 pair and then over to Boots to get more of those sexy Roy Orbison style glasses.

Is the news true that Patrick Vallance is no longer at GSK?

 

Yes, Patrick Vallance is out and almost forgotten.

 

Parrina (as I called him) was my fave. His cologne was unreal.
We had a passionate working relationship. His leadership drove me off the edge. I reached heights (cannot say here what type they were) I cannot even imagine. He is not a normal man, but rather a robotic superhero.

 

As is GSK practice, they may give create some legacy for him, maybe naming a scholarship after him or a laboratory (although a lavatory would be most appropriate). Moncef got the former HGS building named after him- which is appropriate considering he suckered GSK into paying about 3 billion for HGS.
