Pharmaceutical Spray Drying

As spray drying continues to grow in popularity in pharmaceutical manufacturing, EnviroStar LLC has leveraged their experience in spray drying to develop two new products to help support pharmaceutical spray drying operations.

First, EnviroStar has developed a flow through environmental simulator for use with experimental dryers. The EnviroSim is used to enhance DOE efforts and to aide in gaining a more thorough understanding of product and process performance benefiting the commercialization process for new products.

Second, EnviroStar has developed a proprietary control system to aide in controlling the drying process. Unlike traditional methods of dryer control, the Buchner Control System puts as much emphasis on drying rate as it does on the extent of drying. The benefit is a more consistent and repeatable drying process yielding a higher quality product eliminating much of the yield loss often associated with spray drying operations.
