You obviously don't work with 90% of the clients we work with now because it's significantly down from that (unless you're from California or New York where making that much is practically insignificant for a doctor after education, living, bills, etc...). So, to the original question for which I tried to answer, why is the Affordable Care Act bad for the clinical laboratory industry? Ditto-head never addressed the question directly. I am in this industry, so I wanted to get some real feedback. The original poster seemed to think MDL would cease to exist today, after the election.

Taxmageddon Is Huge
■Unprecedented Tax Hike For 2013: Starting January 1, 2013, Americans will face a $494 billion tax increase, the highest ever in one year. Obamacare’s tax increase over 10 years barely edges ahead of Taxmageddon at $502 billion. The average American household would see its taxes rise by $3,800 in 2013 alone. And this is just for one year. Taxpayers would see even higher tax hikes in succeeding years.
■Expiring Tax Cuts and Obamacare’s New Taxes: Almost 34% of the tax increases from Taxmageddon come from the expiration of the 2001 and 2003 Bush tax cuts. If Obamacare is suppose to be the answer to the largest economy in the world.....then why have they given out more than 1500 waivers? Most of them to unions? Many of what is in Obamacare has nothing to do with healthcare. In fact, Obamacare is not about healthcare at all. It's about control. How much of our lives do we want to cede to a federal government? Right now, we have about half ( providors ) of this country supporting the other half ( moochers ).

As of Friday morning, Obama has posted 6,125 new regulations on its regulation gov website the past 90 days. That's an average of 68 new rules each day. That's not even scratching the surface. Wait til Obamacare kicks in.

 

Also in Obamacare, an additonal 17,000 IRS agents will be hired to enforced every citizen spends money to provide insurance to the tens of millions here illegally.

I happen to like dr. m. i just think he's being manipulated by vt and lied to. he has little business sense, but has created many jobs. i think he's too scared right now to make another SD change, but i'm sure it's on his mind as to when a good time for that will be. he really needs to hire someone from the outside and have him focus on mending relationships with employees and this will reflect with clients. right now, almost every office sees mdl as a joke and i am certain dr. m wants his company to be more reputable. alas, it won't happen with vt on payroll. she is a walking nightmare for any company. mdl will be her last employment because she knows this. far too many reps dispise her and are now working at many different companies. she tries to go work at any place else and i'm sure some former rep is already there and will glady share things with her prospective new boss.

 

Do you REALLY think that Dr M is that clueless? Trust me, and I have it from multiple very reliable authorities, VT is only doing HIS bidding. From my sources, that is why she was moved into the position. BD knew how to motivate and respect his reps, and treat them as fairly as he was able. If you get to know internal people, sales is now treated like every other department has been for years. For Dr M, it IS "ALL ABOUT THE MONEY", in HIS pocket, so he can grow HIS legacy at the expense of good people and on their sweat and hard efforts.
