It's starting to sound like the Takeda share holders are becoming angry. There is a mass exodus of reps leaving Shire. If the deal fails, what happens to sales force? Will the board clean house? Do they have a plan? This is going to be interesting!

If this deal falls through the company is in serious trouble. Leadership has clearly shown they do not know how to manage specialty/rare disease products from all the companies they acquired. The xiidra sales post launch have been terrible. Mydayis is a dog and has done nothing but chip away at vyvanse sales. Shire has done nothing over the last 3 years except lose value. All our eggs are in the lanna launch basket. If that doesn’t go as well as planned (and I have to guess leaderships expectations will far outweigh actual sales), this company will be worth nothing. You just have to hope whatever business unit you are in gets sold to a decent company and they still require your services

This deal is Valeant teriyaki style. Takeda is not a very good company and is trying to make its last stand on very shaky ground. Hopefully the deal will bust, Flemish will roll, and there will
either be new leadership or a better M&A deal.

What makes you think xiidra sales post launch have been terrible? X will do 400+M this year. Almost double than last year. Doesn’t sound terrible to me.

Not when marketing spends over that amount to launch it.

Nothing really matters! Pharma has fallen so much all reps are looking to land a new job for 1-2 years. They figure accept a job for a year or two to receive good pay and then try to gain new skills to go into restaurant management. The glory days of pharma sales are GONE and should Bernie Sanders becomes Prez, pharma sales goes the way of the dinosaurs, EXTINCT!
