I am an entry level recent college graduate and I have a job interview this week, I need to make a 5-7 minute sales presentation on Myrbetriq, any advice would be greatly appreciated.
Make it personal. Ask the interviewer if they know anyone who suffers from overactive bladder. If yes, casually go into features and benefits on how product can be a life changer. If no, give personal family example. Don’t be a robot. It’s all about connecting with the customer ( interviewer) and establishing credibility. Relax.
Astellas is a joke. Making a kid who has no experience do a 5-7 minute sales presentation is embarrassing. Typical Astellas, overkill on everything besides what’s important, SALES.
Google search the PI (Package Insert) for Myrbetriq or go on their website. https://www.myrbetriq.com/what-is-myrbetriq/?gclid=EAIaIQobChMI7viYtrv24QIVh0GGCh1wdg7TEAAYASAAEgLqa_D_BwE&gclsrc=aw.ds -Touch on the indication -Highlight the MOA and what makes it different from other OAB meds (Hint- not an anticholinergic, works in sympathetic nervous system, etc.) -Memorize the top 2-4 side effects and why that is a selling point (basically highlighting the fact that there is no dry mouth, constipation, CNS side effects as seen in other OAB meds, etc.) -Memorize a small clinical data piece (could be any stat from trials) and throw it in there (should wow them) Touch on these things at a high level (don't get caught in the weeds) and as the other poster said, build a connection and tie it all together. It doesn't need to be perfect, it should just show that you did your research. If you do this, you'll be better prepared than any other candidate no doubt. Also, at your age, you should seriously reconsider getting into pharma, but that's a different topic altogether. Good luck.
At your age you are much better off applying for an entry-device with Stryker or someone and paying your dues for 2-3 years to learn the biz and then get real money and better opportunities. Device is where it is. This company lost its morals when Japan stopped running the show. Toxic culture.
