Looking to join Qiagen. Coming from pharma. Can anyone please give any insight on the company culture. How is the company with there reps? High stress? If you don't make numbers (which sounds like you know weekly) can you get fired? Please help with some honestly. Whyare they hiring so fast right now?

How difficult is the F2F interview. I have a telephone interview scheduled for today. I am interested in working for Qiagen. I have 5 years experience in the OB/GYN office selling in women's health care.
Thanks to anyone who wants to help me with his or she experience interviewing for this position.

Stress your relationships with the office especially key decision makers- Sr physicians, OM's etc. You need to be relentless with this sell to ensure adoption, includes alot of follow up.

I am also interviewing. Question: How difficult of a sales is this really? I have heard of the Thin Prep, how often do doctors order the diagene tests?

The culture is that we paid too much for Digene and we are going to whip the hell out of this horse till it stumbles across the finish line. Then we'll put it out to pasture, turn it into glue, or give Purina a call.

A culture of micromanagement and Big Brother oversight.
Recently hired telemarketing staff hired not to help sell, but to check up on the salesforce.
Multiple conference calls each week to discuss targets and what you've done each day.

How long before a time clock in our car or GPS tracking system on our company cell phones?

The culture is to open your mouth as wide as you can and then see how much shit you can take before you gag and spit it right back. I've seen German porn and I am not a fan.

Is anyone worried about Roche's new test? I heard AL is interviewing for their marketing mgr position....How do you hit your numbers with interval extension playing such a huge part of physician's adoption? Is HOLX taking business from your labs?

You are obviously not in Operation Yes mode. You will be receiving an additional 2 weeks of Landmark training, keep an eye out in your mail for details.

You must not know how to count. Mr MF has said time and time again there is no RIF going on. Look around, I am sure there are more reps out there.
    All is well, remain calm.

Working at Qiagen is like an episode of "Hogan Heroes" the German side is the legacy Qiagen folks and the American side is the legacy Digene people.
