So it was just Dermapath management that were released with regards to the 400-600 management positions they were to cut?

This is really a joke. They touted that they were eliminating excess management. In some cases were going now have more layers. It's going to be worse than when "nonsense" was here.
'Good ole boys club' for sure.

Don't know for sure. Quest owns a lot of smaller labs, so the management cuts might be across the board at all of them, thus consolidating management under Quest in Teterboro.

Saw floridas directors.....all quest except one. Looks like the specialty divisions have very little representation across all levels and throughout the country. Apparently it was good to be Quest!

Sales reps will be assigned to smaller territories and will call on both hospital and physician accounts in those assigned territories. The specialty reps will assist.

Don't care much about how the CEO conducts a re-org. Only care about stock price and not exactly seeing anything different than Surya.

    Honeymoon is over.

Your statements are partly correct but mostly wrong. Check your sources because it looks as though they know very little.

This is what I have heard too. Makes sense. There is only a hospital or two in the smaller territory, not enough to sustain a dedicated hospital rep.

Maybe down the road in a year or two but not right away.

Really? You must not be aware of all the changes or you do not work for Quest.

The poster was actually accurate.....same managers, very little change if you are from Quest. Big changes if you are from one of the Specialty Divisions (at least in management). Same people, different titles.

I thought less levels of mgmt were in the works, but after reading the email announcement today, it sounds like more levels are being added. So much for saving $$. Let's kill off the sales force and create higher paying positions for those who do nothing.

So much for the new vision....
