    1. I am an Otezla rep
    2. I know what my potential earnings are each semester, BEFORE the semester begins.
    3. I now have the mARK app so I can look at the IC info for Enbrel
    4. It makes no sense.

Question - as an Enbrel rep, do you have any, idea at the dollar level, what you can earn each semester? do you have updates all along the semester as to where you stand? what you are shooting for? any carrot to keep you motivated? or, is IC a mystery and you just take whatever they give you months into each semester? I can't find anything about target pay, pay above target, pay below?

thanks. I need this information as I am deciding whether to stay, whether to go to Gilead, or whether to go to Regeneron.

Best wishes to all and stay safe.

300+ views and no one knows. I'm a former Enbrel rep and I can tell you why. They don't know?

The Amgen IC is set up to bunch everyone in the middle. The only way to improve it is not to lose less Enbrel volume than anyone else but it's to manage your manager. Tips:

Ask lots of questions on teleconferences.
Write in questions for numerous town halls.
Volunteer to role play at meetings.
Ask lots of questions at meetings.
Volunteer to run portions of meetings.
    Volunteer to coordinate market meetings.
Do a lot of Arthritis Walks.
At meetings walk up to senior leadership and tell them the latest initiative is really "resonating" with your customers. Or better yet, tell them the selling model is really gaining traction. (do you still fake 4DX?)

Asking an Enbrel rep what their target bonus is liking asking a toddler how to do calculus. They don't know and they don't care.

The Enbrel IC plan is not designed to get reps out early or keep them out late. It's designed to bunch everyone in the middle.

I do miss the 401k match and the 2 seasonal shut downs, but I'm happy selling and getting rewarded in a competitive environment.

    Best of luck.

...or shut the fuck up because no one cared enough to answer the question.

Leave! You will not make the money you made at Otezla, period!

target payout at Amgen is $35k/year and basically everyone hovers around that. You can be in the top 5 every quarter and not make the bonus Otezla reps do- you’ll make maybe $50k for the whole year.

If you have an opportunity to leave, leave. Don’t think twice.

When you have 2 French Socialists running things, you bunch everyone in the middle on incentive. We haven't been a place to make money for a long time. You are best served by filling up your days with activity measures that allow your DM to tell the Regionals that your business prowess has really grown.

Amgen breeds mediocrity in all its sales employees. It doesn't matter if you Zig Ziglar at this place since sales are not the biggest thing in getting rewarded or promoted. So people put up with very average commissions since it doesn't really matter if you excel anyway. As a result you get a failing organization.

Bottom Line: you can't find an Enbrel employee anywhere on the planet that can describe anything about their IC and that's by design. Activity is rewarded at Amgen, not sales performance. You in Otezla Nation need to get that in your tiny little super model heads. We aren't paying you to sale, we are paying you to feed the machine. The Amgen machine. Go look at the steady decline in Enbrel volume the past decade. Filter out the price increases and the currency boost, and notice the month over month decline is actual unit volume sold and you will see the disconnect. The best way to make money is to enter calls, ask questions on teles, and act peppy at all meetings. Sales performance has nothing to do with IC.

I can describe our IC plan quite easily. It’s not that complicated. You are one of those nitwits whose deep-rooted insecurity requires putting people down to feel superior. I think I just responded to your BS on the Avsola thread.
