You got it. He played politics and used layoffs as a tool to get rid of good scientists who were hurdles in his path. This guy will have hard time to find another job after acquisition. It would be turn of those laid off souls to repay him.

As you know Amylin Management has shown transparency in last 25 years, so folks feel free and fire up full names. Agree with what Shakespeare has said - 'What's there in a name'?

    2. Soumitra, Joe, Denis and the other clowns couldn't light their own farts with a bunsen burner, let alone do real science.

Not in science, confused and please do clarify.
Does it mean that they are unaware that fart gas can light up the fire or they are so greedy (stealing stocks and RSU's from employees) that don't want to release and waste the fart
gas to atmosphere? This extra science knowledge would help us when we sell byetta, bydureaon, symlin and cialis.

These three clowns own IP on farting science (none on real science) and cannot disclose more.

I don't like puzzles. tell me who should be voted 1-3 in leading pharma-biotec to disaster.
    1-worst of all ages
    2-worst than worst
    3-better than worst

This should conclude your post for ever.

You're going to need a lot more than 3 bullets points. The list of misteps, inaction and incompetence is much too long to post here. This post will never end.

Explain why there is a research department at all? Why don't we call it for what it is - keeping up the appearance of doing research and paying 5 highly paid Directors and numeoud useless Associate Directors to direct NOTHING. Nice way to waste a crapload of money on NOTHING!

How much money did we pour into Phormol and animal lab? It resulted in nothing.

    Disagree...
Ignorant and totally disconnected with realitty. Understand the concept of business-"risk and rewards".

We all understand perfectly. Amylin rewarded those highly for risking nothing. Since MH's departure, name one accomplishment from R&D under CW, BR and SG? Where are the results from diversifying the risks with partners? How did that partnership with Takeda go? Name
ONE accomplishment from the last 2 years of wasted R&D salaries, and we'll go away.
