So what the hell was that from Jesus on our conference call yesterday? We LOYAL reps have been getting screwed over and insulted more and more by the day! Look, people leave and go to your competitors, it's just a fact of life! But when the company (Novartis) has NO idea on how to take care of their current and LOYAL reps, offering us chump change in trying to "retain" us while the competition is paying reps to come join them and paying them very handsomely to! The VIP (retention) plan is a complete joke! Extremely embarrassing to us reps who are delivering record sales results year over year yet Novartis continues to not care about us and totally takes us for granted! So Jesus yesterday on the conference call sounded like a very desperate leader (actually like a man who is about to leave himself) and a pipeline that is THREE years away and who "promises" that they are going to do more for us? Really?? How about paying us a much more competitive salary (you know, one that is at or close to the top of biologic sales)? I mean we are only delivering a $2 billion dollar drug to the bottom line! They claim that the raises that we did receive several months ago were in fact at or near the top which is complete BS! Every one of us knows people who works now for the competition, other biologic companies, etc and their salaries dwarf ours!

Novartis Respiratory (Jesus, Fabrice and whoever else) better wake the hell up and take care of us or they will see even more reps leaving, guaranteed. More to come, I can promise them, more to come!

Oh and by the way, WHAT THE HELL DID JESUS MEAN AS HE CONCLUDED THE CALL (A CALL THAT WAS TO INSTILL CONFIDENCE OF THEM TO US ABOUT TAKING CARE OF US, MIND YOU) BY SAYING "THANKS AND GOOD LUCK" ARE YOU FRICKING SERIOUS!!!!!! "GOOD LUCK"????? WTF

Agree w poster. The situation is now a comedy.
A RD that has been w company for 30 years secretly leaves out of the blue then pops up like a turd at AZ.
He then proceeds to recruit everyone he has worked with over the years and offers them the house to come to a mid tier pharma company. NVS sits on hands while all this is happening as managers resign and go over and then one by one large salaries and big promises lure sales specialists. They have a map of the entire NVS sales force for Christ's sake! NVS responds w a weak attempt to retain....stay a year then, maybe then we will pay u... and of course we will keep 20% so you behave. Meanwhile Xolair racks up record sales.

NVS leadership is horribly bad and dated. RDs are clueless, VP is not engaged and has no connection with FF.
AZ will need to rename their resp division to NAZ
Seriously, who is having the last laugh now? Rich Burns of course!
    Get a clue would you?

F...ing couldn't agree more with the poster and the other comments! Hey Novartis, yeah you Fabrice, Jesus and whoever else....better pony up and pay us or a lot more people are on the move! Whether it's to AZ, Regeneron/Sanofi or some other respectful biologic sales company, there are a lot, and I mean a lot of people so pissed off that they are going to leave (for what they are WORTH) and get the hell out of a company that obviously doesn't respect what they do.....!!!

I was one of the reps that left. The main reason why I left was simple....money! After Novartis rolled out the retention plan, I was very pissed off on how they treated me or what they thought that I was worth or not worth. I've been very successful selling Xolair as well. I'm recruiting others that I'm very close to at Novartis to also leave and some are coming because they like me, want and deserve to be paid for what we are worth! It's just a shame that Novartis doesn't value the Xolair reps at all. And just think, when Dupilimab comes out for severe asthma next year, you watch, even more people will leave this brand UNLESS Novartis takes care of the reps still there grinding away selling Xolair into a $2 billion a year drug and pays them to NOT leave!!

I just can't believe what has happened to the overall moral of our Xolair sales force. We have a damn good and safe product but the leadership or lack thereof, doesn't seem to give a damn about us at all! Just allowing good people to go (I know people do often leave on their own), but the retention plan was and is a joke plus Novartis should've seen this coming years ago! Now what? We are one of most underpaid biologic sales forces out there! C'mon Fabrice and Jesus....step it up real fast and pay us to be competitive or more will continue to leave. I know I'm looking......

3 reasons I left- I too am telling nvs specialists I respect to get what they are worth.
1- Low base pay. Values and behaviors bonus is unfair, RRP was criminal, one year a bonus, the next NO bonus and working just as hard.

2- No Data, claw back to take back money when idiot ops guy AE f'ed up the numbers, every month the goals are redone.. What is the truth??? I never know where I stood and on top of it, I am told to do speaker programs on a 13 year old drug and see 6 HCPS everyday like a PCP rep...Out of Touch NVS!!!

3- Horrible judgement on leadership's part. My old Rd was an idiot. My ABL never worked. Smart leaders were rejected and this demotivated many..NVS is more concerned about the D&I rating than having the right people in position. Nothing will change with the same idiots in charge............

When I am offered 30K more in base it is pretty easy to walk..I am sure our great "leaders" would do the same if they were offered a 30 K raise????

Absolutely couldn't agree with this last response! It's EXACTLY what has and is going on with Novartis and specifically the Xolair sales force! Damn I hope someone from HO reads these threads because I hope by reading these responses, that they will wake the F**K UP!!!! Good Lord, what the hell is wrong with Paul, Fabrice and ESPECIALLY Jesus?????? Getting a damn clue people or there will be a boatload of people to leave ESPECIALLY if they are offered a $30K increase to do so!!!!! SMH.............

What Bonus??? That was even screwed up. Making record sales and a tiny bonus "catch up" on the last of month....and now you must wait until mid October for the next bonus that was promised and published for a Sept pay-out!!!

Why are the leaders so asleep at the wheel??? Sales does the work and leadership takes credit...I am sure the leaders are getting paid on time???

Wouldn't you do the same, given the same set of circumstances and behavioral tendencies?

if you think you hate Novartis culture... AZ is ten times worse. They fire people after 1 bad quarter...period. Benra will not hit goals (they'll be crazy high)... and then Rich will be fired if he hasn't shown at least 20% turnover... you all know Rich...think he'll take the bullet for his buddies.. nah. All those big salaries... that creates a "no mistakes will be tolerated" culture... so, stay, go, it's up to you, just know what you are joining. Regeneron... you'll make bank the first year... then it's a toss up.

as for retention bonuses... totally agree, your treatment is unfair.

After today's respiratory leadership organization change announcement I am curious to hear people's thoughts. I am one of the people who stayed although had a job at AZ if I wanted one. I stayed because I believed NV would do the right thing by its people (please no negative comments lol) Call me naive, but this was prior to the initial retention package which was mediocre and totally screwed some of the best reps in the xolair franchise. Thoughts?

So why is JL leaving? Being forced out? Why?
