Not sure what you are smoking but I'm certain it isn't legal in NY.

Update. We are cutting 100 WORLD CLASS employees to save a couple million. But hey, we're awesome so.......

The key is preserving executive compensation so Ron will be motivated to lead the remaining employees forward. In fact, he should probably get a special bonus for cutting the head count so quickly.

Remember the following thread from an upper mgmt poster this past fall?

We are profoundly concerned about the negative posts. We feel your pain and, knowing it is not fact- based, confidently look forward to a robust and strong 2017. Call it a turn-around, if you may but please at least give Leadership the opportunity to prove you wrong. Have a great New Year's celebration and resolve to be part of a strong 2017 !

Well, what do they have to say now? RC has been dishonest from the get go and will continue to do so.. 20% layoffs.. hhhmmmm? Doesn't look like a "Turn around" to any sensible person. Karma is a b**ch. When U f**ck people over for so long, eventually it will catch up to you.. Look at upper mgmt stock sales over the past few years & recently. They made a ton of $$ and must have had some inkling the house was going to cave in... They will be somewhat comfortable when things go further south, but the average employee is on the chopping block with no value.. Such a shame, but poor leadership + poor outcomes. And by the way, the knucklehead who stated that they think they will get value from a buy out, I got some oceanfront land for sale for you in Nevada to purchase with that phantom windfall you think you will get.. LMAO. Acorda has no leverage in negotiations especially with early stage products in development. Pipe Dream not Pipeline. Not much leverage for any good deal. On a positive note, if a buyout would occur, the purchaser would certainly clean house at the upper levels which would possibly mean an improved working environment for everyone else, as well as some badly needed competent leadership.. Good luck to you all.

Anyone who stayed here is a fcking moron. We will be sold. This happened due to poor strategic planning. Our company is BLOATED with heavily engineered titles that mean nothing. Morale is now bad and we have all lost faith. Bullshit losers and a CEO who is not a businessman!

We have to respond.....this is a caustic and abrasive post that is filled with gross lies and a misrepresentation of the facts. The fact is that Leadership is understaffed and on a shoestring budget; we have worked tirelessly to save EVERY position. Sometimes even the best efforts are only partly unsuccessful. That was the case with the token reduction in employee staffing.

Nice Try!! No one is feeling sorry for you or buying your BullS*%T any more. Especially the media who are predicting reality. Upper Execs keep the spin going, but no one is buying it. Why don't you save a few more jobs through taking a pay cut of your big fat salaries if you are really serious about "working tirelessly to save EVERY position" or better yet, why don't you resign and help some more needy employees out who didn't have the luxury of selling big$$ worth of stock... Hypocrite and as usual dishonest nonsense..

OK, its Friday afternoon, we've worked all week for you, so please don't promulgate the wall street BS. We are comforted by the fact that most of our Team will be supporting our efforts to grow the business and understand that token cutbacks may be necessary. But there are no plans to 'cut deeper' as the BS fake news implies. Grow up, my friend, and support the hard working Leadership !!

newsflash! The Street has no faith in leadership or this company. Word is out that there are buyers and you all know it! Stop lying. remember Ron when you said stock will go to 70? LMAO! Now we have enough money to buy a snack it that shitty Flik fart court. The decisions made here were bad. hence why MEDICAL HIGHER UPS LEFT! They saw it and knew it. Yes - there will be cuts to HQ and the field. I am looking and actively interviewing. I know enough and too much from people that left. You really are stupid and ignorant if you stay here.

    This is spot on.
I will be leaving soon and not soon enough.
Terrible leadership and all poor planning. layoffs will happen in phases and that is the word.

The "Medical Higher Ups" did not leave; they were deported. Unable to speak English and lacking Green Cards. The Current Medical Leaders along with Project Management and Business Development will rebuild this great company from the ashes. Phoenix Rises. Wait and see how our Stock reaches new heights in the coming years.

Wow!! this post definitely proves that Acorda leadership is out of touch. You think cutbacks are TOKEN or mild? You arrogant prick. Tell the laid off employee that they are just token, and no big deal. If you think someone loosing their livelihood to support their family is somewhat insignificant, you totally prove to everyone what an as%h*&e bunch the leadership of this company is... Pathetic, you deserve to go under as the company is already doing.... Sad.....,

Given that leadership here rarely makes sense, you could see how someone could be confused.
