Would be better if you have more specifics. Cardinal is a big company with many sales specialists roles. Generally speaking, it's a base + growth comp structure. In general, you do not get paid on existing business or business that you sold in for the previous year. It blows because if you're good at your job, you're growing your territory and are still paid the same as you are not paid on the book of business you manage.
