Most reps I know are at home by 2:00 and have other jobs on the side. I am a realtor myself, market is heating back up, showed two homes today. Lupron is so easy to sell even a cave man can do it. Don't tell Don P. keep the scam going for as long as we can. My DM sleeps in the car on field rides. Really, I mean really, 20 year old drug still charging full price and the Uro's keep making a killin on Medicare. Priceless.

OP is right, have a friend that sells that crap and he is a high school basketball coach on the side. I'm jealous as hell. Are there any openings in Texas?

O.P. is wrong I am usually home by noon. Can't wait till the weather improves so I can tee it up with my buddies at one. When daylight savings time hits in a few weeks we can usually get in 36 holes. My DM is on cruise control and could care less. Thank you Jesus!

Lupron rep here. You should watch what you say. Lupron is a rain maker for this company and will continue to be for years and years.

You should all be thanking Takeda Pharmaceuticals for paying is 6 Billion dollars to buy our half of the TAP joint venture and, wait for it..... GIVING US LUPRON IN THE USA! What a bunch of complete IDIOTS! They got Prevacid, Kapidex and Uloric and a bunch of reps and DM's they had to fire a year and a half after the buy out of Abbott's half. Uloric is tracking to be a $200 million a year product, Kapidex is tracking to be a $200 million a year product and we have LUPRON churning out over a billion year after year after year after year after year.

SO all of you hit your knee's and thank GOD Takeda is such a foolish company to give us $6 BILLION and LUPRON!!

$200 million Woo Whooo! Bayer sells $600 million in baby aspirin each year. $200 mil is nothing in pharma and for Lupron wait till congress cuts the reimbursement to urologist's and they stop caring about the meager revenue they are making off Lupron. Generic here we come. It's happening in oncology and renal and its going to happen soon with Lupron. Everyone is chasing Medicare dollars and as we all know the dollars are running out. If you are in your 30's, or 40's I would suggest you bite the bullet and change careers. Pharma reps are going the way of pay phones and train conductors.

OP is right like many Abbott divisions Uro/Gyn is so siloed from PPD that they do their own thing. They have some quality reps that basically manage themselves and work maybe six hours a day. Management has been coasting for many many years since product is in a relatively protected niche. Underachievers are welcome.

You fu*^in moron. Lupron does over $1 Billion a year and will continue to do that year after year after year. You should thank Takeda Pharmaceuticals for giving it to us for virtually nothing and the $6 billion they gave us to buy abbott out of the TAP joint venture. You think this place is screwed up? It could be worse. We could be Takeda.

OP is right hope this gravy train goes on for two more years then I'm home free. Been playing on line poker in my spare time and have done pretty well. Thanks Lupron and thanks Abbott for the good part time job, I work about 20 hours a week since I really only have three clinics that use the stuff with great volume.

Who is the retard that is saying that Lupron is a billion dollar product for Abbott? Ever been to the website or read the Abbott annual report? Lupron sales have been a nominal contributor to the Abbott franchise for many years now. The entire division needs to be cut to about half its size. Filled with slackers, coasters, and idiots.

Lupron was $600 Mill in 07, Now less than $500 Mill

Unlike Takeda's Prevacid patent, Abbott's Lupron formulation patents extend to 2015. Lupron treats prostate cancer and endometriosis. The drug had $600 million in sales for 2007, while Prevacid had $2.3 billion.

The analyst added that although Lupron is also "mature and declining drug," it is still a "very profitable, high margin platform on which to build."

??? Lupron has NEVER made over a billion a year! At BEST it did 985 million...AT BEST! Now it's lucky to get in the 500 million range and that's URO / GYN / and PEDS!!! 207 reps plus 30 DM's is not bad for 500 million, problem is they had to give the PEDS market to the ACP reps (35 of them) cause the Lupron reps were too scared to go into a damn hospital...and the ACP reps are doing a great job!
