Our old CIO , we'll call him "W" spent 13 years at Pfizer before they "Bounced Him" Went to work for a big Wall Street firm, and we thought, what idiots they were... it appears they just bounced him after 4 years. http://www.cio.com/article/720531/How_Big_Data_Will_Separate_Haves_From_Have_Nots It is a good sign there is intelligent life out there..
I hope he blew his money and can't retire nicely. I personally think he was a cancer on any company that he works. Unless one of the people he stabbed in the back on his way up help him out, I don't think he could get a job saying "Do you want fries with that?"
Eventually stuff catches up with people. While we don't apparently know anything for sure, if he did get axed at db, I would wonder why it took so long.
Actually, that is pretty close to a business cycle there. He had three years to show results, and failed.
