Significantly too many managers on payroll

Sage is management top heavy with some districts only having 4 team members. This is a seasoned field force and requires significantly less manager intervention. At minimum, the RBD's should have a team of at least 8-10.

Don’t work for Sage, but I have a good friend that does. It’s hard to believe that any pharma company would have a district with only 4 reps. What is their rationale?

So much “management” activity- the RBDs are searching for stuff to do with not enough reps.

Many departments are top heavy and I don't understand why.

When the reorg hits, RBD's should be impacted the most. They simply aren't needed.

    HR warrants 3 vice prez for a 500 person org.... <<slow clap>>

Reduce by 50 - 65% we don’t need this much middle management.

This has been talked to death over the past two weeks at the corporate office. No mention of a national meeting yet because they will announce a reorganization in January. This has to be completed prior to a national meeting. It is inevitable that they will eliminate half the RBD positions. We all know this.
Certainly some KAM roles will be eliminated, especially in areas where they haven't been successful securing any sites.
TBS roles may be impacted where territories butt up against each other in relatively small geographies or parts of the country where there haven't been enrollments.

Agreed. We have all heard bits and pieces. Whoever is reading this, don't be stupid or it will be your own demise. The future is not bright here and you had better start giving yourself some solid options. This is the best time to get a new job. So many opportunities right now and companies have actively started recruiting Sage employees. There are already a group of employees that will be putting through their notice first of the year as they found opportunity with another company. RBD's that aren't looking are just being stupid. They are the number one casualty for sure. KAM's are also going to be a casualty. The simple fact that there is no National Meeting date should give you the crystal ball clue that's all you need to know. The field will be a lot leaner in the coming weeks.

We’ll have to wait and see what will transpire at Sage in early 2020.
