This is part of the problem. This dipshit makes in one year what the average rep will make in 20-25 years and his only contribution is to drive the company into the ground.

What was his motivation when he was lining his pockets either way?

Good thing he has money. I don’t think the admins were after his good looks and charming personality.

Hum, let’s do a little math.......market cap $287m and first opioid settlement $24m (or i.e., 8% of market cap for just 2 counties with 1,800 more cities and counties left to settle with. Not including DOJ settlement or any settlement with all the stockholder lawsuits. This would be a no-brainer for even a 5th grader.

So obvious even a 2nd grader could figure it out! There is not going to be cash to service debt, pay over 1000 lawsuits from counties, states the DOJ, vendors, shareholder suits, etc...employees will be last in line and will get royally hosed as usual. They are frantically looking for liquidity and cost savings to generate cash to build a war chest to pay all those parties while funding operations. The first gx cuts are going to be followed by massive restructuring and blood letting to conserve cash pre bankruptcy. No way out of this one. Anyone offered a severance package, take it since there will be no money left shortly. They will also be shopping assets to raise cash shortly...at deep discounts to what they paid...desperation.

After Biovectra sell today, market cap now more or less 537m with now 4% settlement of cap for two counties with 1,800 left to go! So what ya gonna sell next? Already sold your soul so what gives next?

Market cap even after sale today is only 424M. Still way below what is needed to settle with all. Bankruptcy still only way out.

Hard to believe that Mallinckrodt still has people desperate enough to represent them. No way you didn’t see this coming.

Is it laziness, complacency or not enough talent to land something else?

The time to panic is now because there won’t be a severance package.

What are you smoking or rather how much Oxy are you taking? The writing is on the wall. Leadership hired a restructuring firm. MH is gone (should have been fired long time ago) and MT should be next. Our leaders failed us. They came in and raped this organization. A 100 year old company destroyed in 5 years, amazing. It was laughable when they tried to sell SpecGx or spin the company off. We do not make anything special. Other companies make the same products. By the time it is all said and done only Hobart and STL Plant will be left. Speaking only for the SpecGx side of the business. They need money now and the pipeline ROI won't happen for another 3-5 years. We do not have 3-5 years.

Good luck everyone! If you aren't looking for a job, you better start looking because the severance package might not be what you would expect.

Could not agree more. Anyone naive enough to think a meager bounce back to a whole $3-4 is a good thing does not understand it was merely the short sellers covering their positions due to the desperation asset sale for cash that mitigated a imminent bankruptcy...newsflash: Alix Partners is retained officially to CARVE THE COMPANY UP , CUT COSTS VIA LAYOFFS, SELL NON-REVENUE GENERATING ASSETS, SELL OFF ASSETS THAT CAN ACTUALLY BE SOLD AT A PREMIUM TO THEIR ACQUISTION. This is all about amassing as much cash as possible to merely maintain daily operating expenses , pay interest on debt and create a tiny pool for litigation all while the core products rapidly decline in sales...simple arithmetic...earnings are declining and expenses are rising leading to no cash and evenutally insolvency. Only a matter of time...if you are in a cost center (anything supporting new products or R&D, BD, admin) you are top of the list...Bad news is that almost any sale of an asset will lead to a sizeable loss (writedown) except for a few of the pipeline products which were actually acquired for a song (terli, stratatech)...everything else will be written down in the billions! Good luck to the good people who are at best going to get 1 weeks pay for every 1 year you gave to this former institition...if you do not believe me, talk to HR and see how they squirm or avert their eyes trying to give you an answer...
