So how long are we going to be out of the field?

I do not trust or believe that Abbvie is looking at the state openings/status evaluating Covid cases and hospitalization rates. Certain areas which are “open” are huge hotspots for Covid. They say if we are concerned take it up with manager and HR, but doesn’t that run the risk of losing employment? We should all be working from home virtually until the fall based on circumstances and it’s dangerous to be doing otherwise.

You think this company is just going to keep you on and working from home? We are lucky to still have a job for now. Stay at home through fall and we'll all take bets on when your employment ends. Abbvie doesn't owe anyone dick, and those who don't want to go to work will be processed out. Non-Covid-19 related, of course.

Arizona was grounded again. Seems like Dallas and parts of Florida should be pulled back now too. We will see.

AZ was open for reps and then closed a week after or what?

If Abbvie kept us out in this environment it would be irresponsible by them and also by the physicians

Yes I think 2 weeks. Apparentely there is a whole crazy anti-mask contingent there and cases/hospitalizations skyrocketing

May be time to offer packages to those close to Medicare age. Older reps are more vulnerable and may want a package? Cant have people sitting at home for a year

Omg what an HR nightmare. Plus, reps won’t be home for a YEAR. This is a blip on the radar for Covid but Abbvie needs to make the appropriate choices for reps in the field.

Let’s see if they actually have the dedication to look at the individual states and case risings and hospitalization rates appropriately as they said. Or if they’re just trying to squeeze every last bit out of us while it’s unsafe in these huge hotspots.

J/k about the year but not the offering of packages. Voluntary separation... other companies have done it. Roll up some service years with the package. The older reps will probably jump on it, most not near to retirement wont. . Gives somewhat of an out rather than sending vulnerable employees back in field. THAT looks better for HR rather than no choice.

Looks like your right if the map has been updated. Houston still working and the hospitals are near capacity and cases are at all time high.
