Actually it is. Created by money from society to serve all of us. Can you imagine how screwed up our roads would be if the Repugs were building it?? Reminds me of a quote from a Werner Herzog movie called Aguirre Wrath of God. “Man against man and God against all.” That’s the capitalist way! And in the meantime we lead the way in America of destroying the earth. Way to go Republican capitalists.

Capitalism has created the most prosperous and the cleanest nations on earth. Case closed.

Providing for the general welfare or infrastructure is not socialism. Case closed.

Ever been to China? You should take a look. They have made great strides - ever been to rural America to places like West Virginia etc? Or some of the places in the South? If you ask me America is not doing so great.

That’s why we have a public health system which focuses on vaccination etc. socialized medicine is not the general welfare. Case closed. You’re welcome for the lesson.

China is only making great strides because they’re engaging in what??????

    Wait for it!!!!!!!

    CAPITALISM!!!!!

That’s why they’ve made great strides!

But you’re the epitome of a stutopian. You run down America and babble about poor sections of our nation when our poor have cars, air conditioning, cell phones and many are obese they have so much to eat!

America’s poor are the envy of the vast majority of the people on this planet so you really just need to shut up. You’re both too stupid and too ignorant to speak.

Don't think you have travelled much. Lots of countries well off under different systems than ours. America is ok but too many uneducated people who are filled with hate like you. Lots of good stuff here but why can't we learn from others?? Because of people like you who don't want to admit we are not perfect. Maybe you should travel around and talk to people around the world. You might actually learn something. Many people don't think their country has the be "the greatest" but they just want things to be fair. Many people in the US and certainly Trump supporters have psychological problems if you ask me of always wanting to be better than everyone else. Don't see too much of that in other countries. US abounds with that kind of thought unfortunately. Small man syndrome if you ask me.

What a sophomoric post. I don’t think you’ve read very much. If you were better informed you would appreciate how great and unique our nation is. And I love how liberals like you can’t make a post without the lame accusation that those you disagree with are haters. We’re not. We’re just smarter than you are and I guess that makes you hate us. It’s sad because all you have to do is listen to reason but you won’t.

Not as simple as capitalism vs socialism. Combinations work best - What is China? What is Australia? Each has components of each.

Venezuela - pure socialism. Mexico - pure capitalism.

Let me help you out here. What you should be trying to say is that capitalism is so tremendously effective at generating wealth that a system can tolerate a certain amount of socialistic redistribution as long as its kept at a reasonable level.

Capitalism gives a lot which can then be redistributed.

Socialism gives very little excepts scarcity and poor quality and leaves little to be redistributed.

That’s why socialist countries like Venezuela, Cuba and the former USSR are such basketcases.
