All the news reports say they will move quickly to cut costs. I went on the Shire site and they are moving everyone to Boston, they already have a sales force, and if the posts are to be trusted, their CEO hires his own people. I know I'm feeling really motivated now.

Not true, I was contacted after being laid off and had a job in 6 weeks. It took 4 woks to go through the interview process. So if you want to stay in the industry there are jobs out there. I got an 18k raise too.

I understand that Shire is retaining viropharma reps and continuing with the expansion. Apparently there are only 18 HAE reps across the country so it make sense to add some more folks. Anyone else heard anything similar or different? I am not a viropharma rep but am interviewing as part of the expansion.
